Tina was an absolute idol and inspiration for Jimmy. He talks about sneaking into her concerts as a young hooligan. He was worried about dancing in this clip and Tina’s answer was ‘don’t worry, just stand there baby, I’ll make you look good’

As a young teenager, he and some mates snuck in to see her and he was completely mesmerised. He has stated that singing with Tina was one of the greatest highlights of his career.

My understanding was that Jimmy also loved Tina to bits. She featured a lot on our national broadcaster in the 70’s and beyond. About this time she was here for Mad Max. But I imagine it was the 70’s role as the Acid Queen in Tommy that was mesmerising for anyone who saw it then and that may be what won Jimmy and why he was a bit nervous about this duo. That said, he’s really great at duos and this was one of them. I enjoyed your reaction very much.
