I remember how everyone in the theater cheered for Homer's epiphany is to save Springfield in order to save himself and a plan to find his family and save his town and drop 10 pounds. What a hero!
In the movie theater in 2007 I was laughing out loud and someone female was staring at me. I can't remember if it was my mom, my sister or some old lady in front of me.
As much as I enjoy having a good laughs of seeing Homer getting spanked by the trees, I adore this scene for Homer finally (or at least for the rest of the movie) letting go of his self-centered pride and selfishness for the sake or everyone and everything he knows and cares about.
Nana Cat: John Cat. Do you know why you are here? John Cat: Because my family cares more about other people and they do about me. Nana Cat: Drink this water. John Cat: (belches) More please.
