I was very involved with my Church, even went on Mission Trips with my Church. Life is precious because it's finite, and we have to learn to treasure that time. I doubt you'll change your opinion on Christianity. If you do decide to put it down, splendid: it's a big step to take. If you don't, that's fine; at the very least, please don't go assuming everyone needs to repent. There's a lot more reason to believe it's gonna happen soon. All the prophecies have come true or are evident to come true, we are in the end times right before the rapture is supposed to happen. We will not know the day or hour, but, as said in the bible, we will know when it is near.

This sums up why any and all rapture movies are ridiculous. You can't apply simplistic contemporary human conservative values when trying to explain or depict how God actually works and how he will judge people. He is far more in depth and complicated than anyone can imagine, hence "moves in mysterious ways". He's not guided by the same individual virtues and morals as we mere mortals. He sees things in the bigger picture, homosexuals, people who follow other religions, un baptized children, etc. may not seem favorable to you but God may not be judging them based on those things.

Very similar beats to the Family Radio Panic followed in both cases; reckless panic, anger, and a road trip. This didn't predict the coming of Christ, but it did predict someone trying to predict it.
