This method does not work for everyone sadly. But if you do run into any issues I recommend you to repair your game so it can remake the mods folder or either reinstall The Sims 4.

when I deleted the sims 4 and I added a junction all i see is sims 4 junction and my mods and saves don’t show up

Mines do that all the time. only due to how much custom content i have A LOT so it’s normal for me. But try to get bits of CC put in there to see in the mods folder because i’ve never ran into that issue before.

It’s because you have to use the shell extension! The same thing happened to me until I used the shell extension

Hi soo I tried your tut it worked but one problem is am not seeing my mods and script mods when I am on the game I created a sim already but not seeing my mods on the game I dont know if you know what I did wrong .

The mods just are straight in your c drive, I have the same problem, I’ve tried to make another folder and drag the sims4 into the hard drive but it deletes my sim every time when I think to delete the sims 4 because it’s in this new folder but it deletes it.

you have to download link shell extension as well as downloading link shell then you ho into your folder and press on the link shell extension to install it and it will come up

You can put them in you external hard drive. I don't believe it matters which one because no matter where it goes its still linked to the external hard drive only. :)

Hi! I downloaded the sims4 onto my external hard drive and the only files under the sims4 folder are installer, data, delta, game, and support. Does anyone know how to fix it so I have all of the files?

@@djanaemoore9898 you have to open the game that’s actually on your computer, not the hard drive. So if you go to files and search “sims4” it should be there with every folder!
