It’s squads on the randoms court instead of squad courts in the park this stuff is everywhere been like this for years comp doesn’t exist it’s all a league now

You see the bullying in the park alot.. HOF level teams will run around the whole park looking for the 60 overalls to blow them out and try to streak but as SOON as another HOF meta team comes to get next they leave and find another team of bots its truly sad...Same as the 5v5 99 overall teams who try to glitch into 92 rec the community is the reason 2k will always be more trash than good no matter what they do. The people that play the game ruin it every year without fail..

2k is about exploits lol. 2k would be so much better if there wasn't a RU-vid, Twitch , etc.

Facts we need to go back to the 2k14-16 days, where every build had defense so we can really see what’s good

If you want to see what a simulation 2k would look like with these types of players, come to player control. Folks will quit because they couldn’t dunk on prime Wilt and KG waiting in the paint with ja morant. Whole time there’s 2 people wide open😭😭😭

The ROI in park is the reason why it's dead. No one is trying to play a mode where they have to invest twice the amount of running rec. Also they get more rep in rec oppose to park

I will say dis tho as a Pro am player. People who think that rec can translate to pro am… you must have not played pro am b4. I used to be a big rec player, me and my squad we used to run 5 rec games a night. But when me and my other friend went into pro am…🤣 boy it got crazy. Here’s a question, why do you think Joe knows playing style gets criticized? Bc most of the people who are saying that his stay is “unrealistic and trash” they are just the arcade type of people. Literally if you go in comp you finna have a lock, a 3pt hunter/6’8 PG (rarely see tho) and 6’8 big popper who is a lockdown. In 5s, a 3pt hunter, a hash guard, a lock, a backend, and a center. But the reason why joes playing style gets considered bc he just attacks the person with the most defensive. Only people who played basketball knows (pick up or organizational) if the person is too small or can’t play defense, or has a mismatch, you attack that person. Even people who go up against Joe attacks him🤣🤣 but ye I think this acade and simulation argument will forever be stupid bc somehow, people doesn’t want to play with IQ, they want to play with 2k IQ🤣🤣

I love watching your videos because I think you usually have a pretty neutral opinion and it seems really non bias. This video seemed a little bit bias towards your play style, I have to be honest. I think 2K can appeal to both play groups (realistic and arcade) and still be a good game (2k24 is great imo). The teams that have the most success in the 2KL and in post draft pro am are the teams that call the most plays. Nobody in competitive 5s are “cones” everyone plays a role and good PGs (Lil Twin, CB13, etc.) are constantly calling things to keep people off balance. There doesn’t have to be a line, a separation. It doesn’t have to be one way or the other, because good players use ALL aspects of the game. Just my thoughts, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. keep up the videos my guy. Bro I’ve been playing 2k since 2k17 when I was 16, now I’m about to be 24 and I am truly disgusted at the rec. down to the delay, the randoms(I only run random rec because my squad from last year hates this year because it’s buns) I tried dribbling my sticks off don’t work for me. I play like I really play in real life. I averaged 24 ppg 6 asts I would average more if people could shoot or if 4 mfs wouldn’t cut to the basket because they are so impatient. I’m adopting the philosophy of it is what it is bro I can take accountability but some people just can’t and this cross play? Has started a war within the factions of a bitter community very little times I don’t have to argue in the rec smh

Sorry shit I see on 2k is in the REC, and 5 stack team will come out in zone against your team with an AI knowing you can’t beat the zone as easily with a random moving running around AI on the team.

I have a bit of a hot take. But I feel that a big reason that doesn't get talked about a lot for the way the 2k community is now is due to the micro transactions. With how hard it is to go NMS and how expensive vc has become, ppl don't have the time or money to be experimenting with the builder or the mechanics of the game. Because they may only be able to make 1 or 2 builds, they'll probably look to content creators for guidance on a good build to make. But unfortunately some creators care more about views than actually being helpful so they'll only show builds that lend themselves to clips that are more accessible to the average viewer. Who likely isn't actually knowledgeable about the sport.

2K is a sim game first and foremost (or at least used to be) anybody who says it should be more or supports the leaning into arcade style should go play games like NBA jam and build a franchise out of that since arcade basketball is so damn great and fun right ?

You can respect basketball, mimic what you see on TV, and still suck at the game. That’s the issue. Not everyone deserves a voice. RNG algorithms implemented into the game to give casuals the upper hand. You don’t realize the products we have now are because the causals were listened to. The irony. Is this why sim heads never step foot in private pro am leagues? Never play for money, never actually put their “SKILLS” to the test 😂 You don’t think dudes that play stage aren’t having fun? Think about what you’re saying, instead of trying to change a narrative. Sim nation style of play doesn’t contribute to winning. You come home from work to lose to the same sweats over and over… no fun in that. You can’t compete or adapt, so you point the finger and cry to 2k. If you want to call out the flaws of the cheesers, they can easily call out the same ones, but Sim Nation still won’t do a damn thing about it.
