That's right, eh? Sinéad O'Connor died THIS year?! 2023, eh? Wow...yeah - you're right. Awfully sad. Thank goodness that we have these videos to remember these 2 legends (Shane and The Pogues were easily my favourite band ever when I was about 16 or 17 years old). Their first three albums are all 10/10's for me. Peace & Love had some nice songs and so did Hell's Ditch, but they didn't measure up to the band's first 3 perfect albums.
Well told off by my sons. Irish Ambassador Rome advised me best in Eire for renewal passport so 'going home' to reinstate my passport. Irish forces are obliged under the Poblacht to only take up arms for Eire. We've wonderful soldiers in Cyprus and all ... PEACEKEEPING. Studying my Gaelic (not easy) and I have a Cork accent! Nought wrong with Cork apparently just accents ... should blend in well. LOVE AT THE BORDER WHEN THE GUARDA ET AL SAY 'WELCOME HOME, DEIRDRE'. ITALY CAN DO WITHOUT ME FOR A BIT ....

Wow, if one hadn't fallen in love with her at first sight, one would've fallen in love with her as soon as she open her mouth, wouldn't one... What an absolute beauty, inside and out.
Man.. I remember hanging out with Shane at this time when Vicky was shacked up with the Fat Monk in San Francisco. This was a horrible time and not fun or the usual bright light that was having many sleepless nights hanging with Shane. The man literally cried for a year and had no creative drive whatsoever. He just talks about her here and starts to cry. He was soo kind and warm hearted. Seeing him being punished was hard to see.
Nick Cave 'gets' Shane. Tom Waits 'gets' Shane. Johnny Depp 'gets' Shane. Pat Kenny does not 'get' Shane. There's no poetry in Mr. logical Engineer Pat Kenny's bonce, so he does not get Shane. "Because something is happening here but you don't know what it is. Do you, Mr. Kenny?"
PK couldn't handle this, his sarcastic comment at the end is difficult. Both dead, both super individualistic and genesis in their own right. I hope PK learned from this interview, I'm sure he did as he's super intelligent
lol so true, a superb combination, and again Pat showing he is pretty clueless. Haunted is literally the most beautiful combination ever, a deep contrast that makes it perfect
I’m not familiar with this host and I admit, I assumed he’d be another dull chat show host. But not at all. He asked very poignant questions and what’s more, gave them time to answer. Sinead (beautiful) and Shane, for all their talent, were humble and gracious. May they Rest In Peace.
He is a clown. He still is a good political commentator and decent at current affairs but he was an awful host who has zero ability to go with the flow. His "contribution" to the mortality discussion was a prime example
I always cringe when I see Sinéad from 1995. She looks like she might be the twin sister of my girlfriend at the time and later the mother of our daughter. She was a beautiful woman. We separated in 2001 but remained friends. Unfortunately, a few years later she started drinking alcohol and became a sad person. I tried to help her but it was useless. I then had to bring my daughter home with me because she was suffering from her mother's condition. She was then with me for 5 years until she started her own life in 2021. She inherited her mother's beauty. From me she probably has the strength to defy life when things get difficult. Rest in peace Shane and Sinéad!
Can't stand pat Kenny..the disruption he did qn interview with shane McGowan drinking and humiliated him .yes, pat Kenny rte we irish don't forget nor forgive ..our true irish souls whom sang in the native tongue. As many don't..sinead o connor is was and still is the most beautiful soul RIP to our own
