A very neat trick that I'd equate to having someone come into my house to pause the video after that was revealed and proceed to reach down my throat to then extract my liver. What these two have done should be classified as a hate crime in the 1st degree then place into the S category tier list ranking because it's actually quite evil and problematic. @@yeetusfeetus3059 its completely notable. the entire game is trying to be half life 2, from the combine controlled cities, new character jessica filling the alyx vance role, and even the game being episodic in of itself. the silent protagonist who used to be a duke nukem esque badass with one liners is just another thing to add to that list. they shifted the entire tone of sin to be more gritty like half life. if youve played half life 2, play this game and you will easily see the borrowed elements.

And explain what? Mantling? Soul Fusion? Chim? The origin of Nirm? Lorkhan? If you don't focus on the esoteric aspects, the games story is too simple. It's just turning Sean Bean into a statue of a dragon. And there is no way in hell they are getting a successful video out of going deep into the Kirkbride hole.

@@verschway4966 yup, if you watch the older ones, Silent Hill 3 I think, you can tell they're watching a RU-vid video and pausing frequently. With this episode they're specifically reacting to shots within the game and interacting with certain objects while laughing

The game is also really short. You can complete it in about 3 hours while taking your time.

I was going to mock people falling asleep to storymode then I remembered I did exactly that to Gone Home: Expleened. It really freaked me out because so little happened in the game I legit thought I had just watched the whole video in 5 minutes or so "wow that was a really short one".

The composer has said that the execs basically told him he couldn't do actually interesting music, and that he had to fight to at least get one good track in on the title screen. ...but that was only intended for the first Episode, to draw in new players. For Episode 2 and beyond he was supposed to have full rights to do whatever he liked.

Alright... I see WHY I thought it was good for its time. The Pistol is pretty much the entire reason I thought the gunplay was good. I guarantee tapping the enemies wearing a helmet in the face and having the helmet pop off, then plastering the wall with the next shot was a highlight. The level design is decent and the enemy density is pretty high so there's a lot of stuff to kill, but it's not really groundbreaking in any way. They do set you up with some little set pieces that are cute like random grunts tossing objects at you. It's just one of those games where every little thing counts, and it adds up in a positive way. It's not good by today's standards for even a free Source mod these days.
