It bemused me what I saw in front of me was the beast (PAP lawyer) defending the harlot (religious leader).

Nobody's going after the regular Christians, you/they are not involved in this. It's exclusively an issue for the rich leadership of for-profit churches (which shouldn't be a thing anyway, they should all be non-profit communities/charities). We don't need for-profit religious groups of any religion, that's just wrong.

In 10 yrs with the current low birth rate of Singapore and influx of foreigners, technically citizen:foreigners will be 1:1 ratio. Singapore MPs will be managing 50% of the imported social problems in health, housing, education and employment. Therefore some SMC & GRCs MPs may be managing social services & problems by foreigners

Not only tax payers have to support 93 MPs. Don't forget we the tax payers have to pay their pension as well {see Parliamentary Pensions Act (Chapter 219)}.

We also cannot ignore the fact It’s a part time job for many.

I'd say even though WP are progressing well and fast, they still do not have the resources to spread to the west, YET. We are slowly building and strengthening our base, and there's no point spreading quickly if we haven't fully build the foundations for places like Sengkang and Aljunied. Maybe WP would one day go to the west, but that would take time, as they are very careful and meticulous in trying to take care of their strongholds. In the mean time, don't just hope and pray WP comes to the west side. First and foremost, have faith in your own opposition parties fighting there first. SDP is a credible opposition party and you guys should give them a chance. Why would the WP come to the west if they see you guys can't even have faith in a genuine political party that have been fighting in the west for 20+ years?

WP's wins in Anson and the start of Hougang's chain of victory happened before LHL became PM, so I don't think this is true. Also, what about Chiam See Tong's 27 years in Potong Pasir? Why wasn't that part of the "initiative" too?

@@jingren many things have evolved over the years and especially after LKY left us. Everything is just a show. But I can honestly say that Chiam's win is definitely not a show. Because I used to be there for 11 years, only the old saints knows the true spirit of Potong Pasir. But like I said, the govt don't want too many parties. Eliminated all but kept WP alive as it's puppet opposition.

Plus her statement about police jailing minorities mercilessly was made on May 17 2020, less than 2 months ago. I'm not against Raesah nor the WP, I congratulate their win, admire her for voicing issues she believes in, and look forward to seeing them serve Sengkang. ACCOUNTABILITY is one of Raeesah's main causes. By that same token, I think that as an elected MP, she should be accountable for her words, which hold weight. If she claims it, show where the claimed merciless jailing of minorities has happened, show where police has swarmed around minorities specially for not socially distancing, while not doing the same for whites and Chinese. By making baseless accusations without proof, especially when it has potential stir racial sensitivity - her words have the potential to influence people to think minority races are really being jailed or treated mercilessly by the police. Hand to heart, do you see this merciless jailing of minorities claimed by her, happening in SG? P.S. Its 'make a mountain out of a mole hill' not mole out of ant Hill - no offence, 😊
