Singapore goalkeeper Hassan Sunny became an overnight celebrity in China, after his performance in the Lions' World Cup qualifier against Thailand on Jun 12.
He made 11 saves during the game, denying Thailand - who needed to win by three goals - the chance to leapfrog China into second place in the group. Read more: cna.asia/3VEN2uw

Trust me, Shanghai do have quite a numbers of Singapore and Malaysia restaurants run by our own local Singaporean and Malaysian. But the original taste might have a little difference due to suit the local chinese communities. I used to lived and work in a restaurant in Shanghai for 2 and the half year and i met quite a lot of Singaporean and Malaysian who lived there too. It's a very beautiful expensive city and i love it there.

@@Buttercookies0 I should said no, as most of their kitchen staffs are local Chinese perhaps a few foreigner chefs from Singapore and Malaysia. And there are non halal. Not sure about now as I left Shanghai since 2012

It will be a short-lived fame, hope Hassan don't get carried away, and be careful dealing with PRCs. Many are little pinks and can be quite extremists, whoever fall on their bad side, will have no ends of troubles.

such a likeable and approachable face...What is there not to like about Hassan Sunny. It's God's will that despite the loss, his saves inadvertently helped China to qualify, the resulting gratitude from the Chinese was nice to see albeit from a foreign country competing in the same group. Opportunities like that don't come too often, hope he makes the best use of it because football is a short career.
