That’s what RU-vidr Ghib Ojisan discovers as he delves into the leather crafting scene in Singapore, with Addynna Azlinor, founder of leather goods studio, Forest Child. She shows him the differences between the fine, handcrafted works of local leathersmiths, versus mass produced and off-the-shelf leather goods
Ghib’s journey takes him to one of three reptile leather tanneries in Singapore, where he learns that our tiny island is a major player in the crocodile skin industry, supplying to some of the world’s biggest luxury brands. Finally, as Ghib tries his hand at making his own leather cardholder, he comes to genuinely appreciate the dedication and artistry of leather crafters here in the Lion City.
