This NCMP Leong is just asking for the sake of trying to show that he has representation in the parliament but in fact all his mentions are rubbish when the system already had a committee of inquiry in place.

Was there any favoritism shown to LML family leading the police to procrastinate the investigation leading to 5 weeks delay?

talk for the sake of talking....never mention his position why he is asking for a commission of enquiry... dont think he even know the implication of asking this "commission of enquiry"

In my OPINION: Given the immense public interest in the Parti Liyani saga, and the potential harm to the SPF/AGC's reputation, I can't fathom why Minister for Law is so reluctant to open a COI. NCMP Leong makes the point that reducing a potential systemic flaw to a mere 'lapse' is dangerous, if not complacent. Purpose of High Court is evaluating evidence, not disciplining police. Purpose of disciplinary tribunal is to investigate individual wrongdoing of DPPs. Purpose of police disciplinary review is to investigate individual wrongdoing of police officers. Sure, launch COI very troublesome, maybe make SPF look bad. But bending over backwards NOT to even consider it looks worse.

Am I the only one who thinks Leong speaks like uncle Roger ?

How effective is all these committee of enquiry? Is it just a matter of the few same guys going through the same momentum of elaborating the whole same story.

Why is Law Minister Defensive, Reluctant & in opposition against a Commission of Enquiry ? The Police, AGC (Prosecutors),& Courts conduct in convicting Parti Aliyani Matter was " InExcusable & Deplorable " Only a commission of Enquiry can determine & establish upon Testimony from respective parties to determine if parties involved in the conviction Parti Aliyani was Appropriate , Just & Lawful. The Honourable Judge @ the Hugh Court acquitted Parti Aliyani as Conviction was "Questionable " The Process & Procedure to determine on any case matter in any hearing is Evidence & Testimony by the aggrieved parties. This is fundamental practice for resolve in the Administration of Justice. The Law Minister response in Parliament is Unconvincing & Unacceptable on Parti Aliyani's matter . "Shame on you " ! This is willful "Injustice " Truth is Almighty & above any God. Isn't this what the Administration of Justice is all about ?

Dont bully people for not knowing commission or committee. How many layman know the difference? And speaker of parliament, give the guy a chance to talk. His English is obviously not as powerful as you guys. But he has a very valid point to make. Which one of us thinks and feels that this case had been totally settled with not a stone to be turned?
