Hello! Thank you On the router where the client is connected, create a static route pointing to the public IP assigned to the customer, and redistribute that static route into OSPF. When the traffic reaches the border router, do not use srcnat when routing through the ISP that owns the public IP. You'll need Policy-Based Routing (PBR) to ensure the traffic is sent through the correct ISP. If the primary ISP goes down, configure a secondary default route with a higher distance. In this case, you'll need to srcnat the traffic since the public IP can't be used with the backup provider. This ensures correct routing and NAT behavior based on the ISP in use. Note - If you are a member of my Spanish platform (aprenderedes.online), I have several examples of this setup in the OSPFv7 course.
Your videos are helpful and thank you for sharing. I enjoyed the one you made for the VLAN configuration. I agree that making 1 bridge per switch chip is more efficient than fragmenting the chip's resources into several bridge instances. However, it could still work, but not as efficiently. I was just thinking about making it easier, and I thought doing the same thing. I bought the 5009 and am loving it. The only thing I don't like, even though it's supposed to make things easier, is the bringing mode. It's nothing like Cisco. However, I am enjoying learning a different way of networking. OSPF would know all the networks through the update and hello messages. This is how it would do it on a Cisco, and it should make it easier for redundant routes in Mikrotik as well. I have 2 CRS328-24P-4S+RM switches and the 5009 new series min routers. I'm thinking of getting another one, but I use a Ubiquity pro 8, which works well, but not for VLANs. I'm hoping the 5009 will fix the VLAN routing issues I run into with the erpro8 limitations. If you want, I can video configure my rb5009 with OSPF. RouterOS 7 is native to that device. Personally, I wouldn't configure md5 for authentication until I know OSPF is working after exchanging several hellos. I would RMON or remote into each one and configure 1-to-1 md5 to verify each one until they are all working. You could get around issues if they arise minimizing during the troubleshooting phase by eliminating OSPF timeouts and other configurations during the initial setup. Of course, you can do what you want, that's just me. Also, just in case you are wondering (hellos= alltypes[LSR+LSU+LSAs]).

Is there some documentation on how to convert BGP/OSPF from v6 to v7.. its very different and when u copy a config from 6 to a 7 device it misses alot.. and CLI is not just copy paste as many commands either don't exist or are in different subdirs .. struggling with the switch to 7..
i saw you put in Originate Default " if installed" ....in 7.1.1 version....you don't need to Redistribute notihng else....as 6.49.x version..? @The Network Trip ..best Regards !
Hi, The rest of the internal networks are announced by the passive-interface template that includes all interfaces. The redistribution is required in the border router only.
