Go check my channel out! Almost got caught street racing a 6th gen camaro in my c6 corvette. Same year model as Grandpa Vette, cops showed up and they ran!!! Much appreciated, like if you saw the police chase!
This reminds me of Misito's(RIP) La Pulga. 1995 Hyundai accent street legal with a 1.5 SOHC, GT50 turbo, no intercooler, water/Meth injection and a 100hp shot of NOS(to aid spool the turbo until 4k RPMS). All of this through an automatic Hyundai stock transmission and axles and ran 9.99@145.32 MPH in 2005.
I'm going d16 turbo awd all d16 with a 99 honda hr-v awd 5 spd transmission. Bolts right up to the d16. It's identical to the b series cr-v manual transmission just the bell housing is for d16 because the 98 honda hr-v came with a d16w1 so basically a d16y in it.
I've been running 46psi on stock y7 sleeves for 2+ years. Us D-guys have to run big boost. Not making as much power as this guy but 46psi hits like a train. Clean setup by the way. Much respect from Houston
christian caceres both blocks are basically the same. We figured that using newer blocks had less chances to crack we’ve cracked them in half before however you can use either z6,y7,y8 A6 we like to recommend finding the main cap of a a6 is cast iron instead of aluminum at this point we are using aluminum bc how hard to find it is. But is more stronger than the stock y7- y8 hope that helps any other help contact me via email etc or instagram xovwirings_performance
700+ hp out of a single cam 4 pot 1.6?! That's insane!! Yet Lamborghini and Ferrari need 6.0+LTRs and 12 pots?! Haha. This is some serious garage building. Well done guys, much love
Its so well put together, you don’t see any bits of bodywork flapping about, at speed, like so many cars. It looks so smooth, too, no dramas. Im not that clued up on drag, as in scotland, we don’t do it too much, but if you had told me a civc could do 9’s, id never have believed it, until i started watching you and 1320 videos. Fucking crazy that fwd cars are that fast😎 Its mostly evos, imprezas and Gtr’s ,where we stay ,that people modify, in the JDM scene. Never seen or heard of any mad civics, but im sure somebody will correct me!
billy heaton also show me a mustang running 10.4 on stock bottom with a stick shift. Nobody cares about comparing auto times vs stick shift times. Stick shift vs stick shift times.
I missed the part where he said that it makes 760 on 45 psi? Hory shet! I made 508 whp on 16 psi with a forged LSVTEC and a Turbonetics 60-1 on E85. If I'm not making close to 760 on 30 psi I'll be pissed!
Yeah and a B20V is a 2.0L DOHC. This is a bit smaller than 2.0L and it's a single cam. So makes sense. Everyone knows B series is faster than D series, so, no shit Sherlock.
@@Azkanse I wasn't bashing the D series, I was just wondering what he said. Why does every single person on RU-vid have to respond to every single comment with an asinine response? It's getting to the point where I'm just done saying anything here because of people like you. Get over yourself dude.
@@Azkanse Actually, everyone doesn't know because the vast majority of v8/v6 guys couldn't care less about a 4 cylinder unless it's in their daily getting 30+mpg.
“... Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's, and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS. And a Motec exhaust...”
I'm coming after that record. Very humble guys, respect for those who have faith in the single slammers. Remember " if she cant handle the B, just give her the D." Long live the single slammers😎💪
@@xovwiringsandperformance1385 Anything done to the bottom end oil wise. As in high flow oil pump, ported shimmed etc. I've always had issues with spun rod bearings on my turbo y7.
@@xovwiringsandperformance1385 Ok, thanks for the reply. Iv just used a stock crank with standard size bearings. I know two of the spun bearings were a result of low oil level. Oil burning from bad turbo oil ring and another from a bad leaking valve cover gasket. Gonna try one more time. If it doenst work this time I'll just turbo one of my bseries.
Aw shit, this means now I gotta watch even for the single jingles? damn, life is getting hard right now. I thought double jingles with turbo was my only threat
Never seen a drag civic with civic ex door panels(tweeters in the door), must have some tunes going while racing. Makes me love my d16z6(i know he said y8) even more! Single jingle! On a side note couldnt make out anything he was trying to say.
Best part is these guys are in my home town. Great bunch of guys, met them before at an event. Super humble, and they have a few fast, very fast, civics.
Matthew EXACTLY! I’ve got time, patience and some knowledge and with $2500 I’ll be lucky to make 500 whp! Even if I build the engine so that it’s “bulletproof” I’m still going to need to invest ALOT more $ to build a transmission/clutch setup that’s able to survive that much power routinely. I’m curious what they have invested in the car the way it sits now? Plus people don’t take into consideration how much is spent upgrading or repairing engines and trans until you get to a setup that’s reliable. In order to be and stay fast in any car cost a fortune!
g force trans makes it all possible it doesnt break like the factory does and it requires almost no use of the clutch it wont grind gears like stock will
It’s crazy that Puerto Rico has fast cars considering how incredibly terrible the roads are there. There’s also probably 100 speed bumps between my nephews house and the skatepark which is 5 miles away.
It hooks pretty damn well what suspension is in this car???? Looks like its solid as a rock. I have had a around 30cars in my life 300-800 HP Honda's integras ect. My issue has always been putting the power down and not breaking parts it's hard to find the sweet spot on reliability,as well as power to weight ratios. Even with micky Thompson tires with a 400hp civic your gonna have trouble laying down power. Once I hit 600hp i had to fully fabricate my hatchback I put in RMIC Gutted it Roll Cage fully built b18b1 with b16 head 6262 turbo methonal 2 inch wider front fenders added enough room to put 295/50/14s on the front but suspension is insane important because it dosnt matter if your 1000hp you gotta be able to provide some resistance from the rear suspension to keep tires from spinning wildly. They should make suspension that is not just adjustable but that pushes the car forward toward the ground and when engine lifts car up when it's trying to lay down power it presses forward a little. I went in some very expensive cars and I was impressed with the air suspention they had you could be going 100mph on the freeway and change lanes and seat had air that kept you in from leaning as well as suspension would stiffen up so you could bearly feel any moment at all even at high speeds.honda need to implement that technology.
give us the break down on the build guys: we got it at a garage sale from a 80 yr old woman who said it was her daily driver for 10 yrs but she got a new daily that is faster. that story has to have happened at least once in this world. and that would be one awsome gilf lmao.
