Only if you're a COMPLETE amatuer. My opponent tried this in a match this week and I could just volley it and he cant respond. If he hit straight down the court it would be hard to respond
TBH I wonder why even pros don’t or not able to hit down the line w power. They do hit it back to opponent. Altho I kinda disagree. If you can just hit it hard down the line, do it
You win a lower % of total points just blasting to corners (esp when opponent is attacking the net). You win a higher % of points when you hit low to your opponent when they come to the net.
Cuz you don't practice serves and returns enough. You should do this at least a half hour per session instead of just hitting from the baseline or playing sets all the time
