Can't wait to see your playthrough Dale and congrats on FFG finally giving you some props on the hard work you but into this game. Your videos are what made me get into the whole Marvel Champions game.
@Caesar's Peak Definitely nice to get an early copy from FFG ... and glad to pull another player in to the Marvel Champions arena! Thanks for watching! :)
I stopped getting everything for this after the Guardians set came out and the Thanos set heroes didn't appeal to me a whole lot... but Spider-Man stuff brings me right back. Just preordered this set, and I can't wait to see what else is coming up for this wave.
@Jay Plays I'm not a fan of the Guardians in the comics either, I enjoyed the first movie ... but am a completionist for this game. So hope you enjoy the Spider-verse!! :)
Fantasy Flight gets it right and recognized the BEST Marvel Champions coverage on RU-vid! Considering how long it took them to make an expansion to Outer Rim you should be happy they recognized your skills before they finished out the game. Lol. Congrats buddy!! Keep up the great coverage of this unbelievably fun game.
@Arthur Mensing Oh, I'm so looking forward to the Outer Rim expansion too!! Thanks for watching, and really did appreciate FFG sending out an early copy of the game. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer Just type in "Marvel Champions" in RU-vid and it's your domain man. Happy for you that they finally recognized the work you're putting in. We all appreciate it man.
I think I’m a live stream Boggs said that Spider Gwen was really hard to play. It’ll be interesting to see how she plays. I’m actually really excited about Spider Ham.
@@DaletheCasualGamer If this keeps up you be saving abit money and playing games for free since your sponsored now. You made it! Life goals for me indeed. lol
@@allenlee78 lol There was no discussion on further releases, so I still have my subscription with Team Covenant ... so an extra copy will arrive some time next week. :)
Congrats on FFG recognising your great content you provide for the game! Here in Australia this is the first time since Scarlet Witch pack we got the product on release day. Lots of deck testing this weekend!
@Grant McEvoy Glad Australia got the new set out to you on time!! Have fun deck testing! I think both heroes are going to be fun to play with. Enjoy!! :)
Should be getting my copy today! But currently playing Marrvel united xmen... decisions, decisions... ALso congrats on getting a review copy, you definitely advertise the game enough for them :D
Thanks for stopping by Two-Gun Pixie!! I can't speak for the villains yet, but the heroes are both fun in my opinion. Hope you can get a copy soon, and happy gaming!! :)
@Dan Stepanov I'm actually running a campaign in my group and I'm playing Star-Lord (just finished another campaign playing the Hulk) and my first thought was, that card is going in his deck! :)
Wow! You're a getting the product early from the publisher! You are really getting famous haha, this one is a really nice expansion I'm playing it in table top simulator while I wait to get my hands on a copy, the villains seems really interesting (we only played two but it's been really fun) and I'm playing Gwen, she's awesome, she can do so much, and she goes so well with protection which is a bonus for me haha.
@Fernando Vila I've made it! I can now retire! lol Gwen is fun, and forcing me to look at protection more and experiment. Not my favorite thing, but I think it will be worth it! Happy gaming!! :)
Ayy glad FFG hooked you up! Like you I’ve gone all in with this game as well just waiting for the shop to call me saying they got their copies! Can’t wait for the playthru!
@@DaletheCasualGamer yessir middle of my workout I got the call! Most excited for this cause the Spider-Verse is my favorite in marvel anything spider man I’m in!!
@@DaletheCasualGamer well said : ) ... although we keep them cards "natural", without sleeves, as long as they hold together. I want to feel (and smell) the cards, not some sleeves (no offense, Dragon Shields^^). Which since recently has led to the encounter Standard Set being recognizable in the deck by their worn edges .. as they are in sort of EVERY game :P ... guess, I am expelled from your community now for card-mistreatment? ^^
@R Yep, we need a full-time shield hero. Just thinking, Spider-Woman and Black Widow are the only Shield identities, but only in alter-ego. Definitely need a Nick Fury hero! :)
@@OresteGamba I'll be exploring to see how to best utilize Ghost-Spider's abilities ... so you'll see me struggle along the way while also seeing the villains for the first time. :)
Great unboxing as usual . My copy will be showing up tomorrow. What was your first impression of the expansion? Sleeving party tomorrow. Can’t wait for your play thru. Happy gaming😀😀👍
@Stewart King I used to run a comic/game shop, and whenever someone would buy a game and sleeves, we would yell "Sleeving party" if they wanted help getting their game ready for play. Great times! Looking at the heroes, they look fun ... just skimmed over the villains. I'm 2 games in (Sandman & Venom). Neat mechanics, but as more villains come out, seems to be more "book keeping" which means more things for my brain to miss. Ghost-Spider is going to have me playing around with different cards in the Protection aspect to try to find the right combination for her ability. Both come with pretty solid starter decks (which of course I took apart after my first play) . Hope you have time to play tomorrow! I'm actually working Saturday ... so hoping for a game Sunday. :)
@Keith Watts Not going to lie, no idea who that was so I googled him ... and now I'm disappointed too. Based on McDonalds "the Hamburgler"!! I'm now a fan. :)
I can only guess for they wanted more spider friends to be available as basics. They definitely have more ally specific in newer sets, like Nova with a Ms. Marvel ally.
I was anticipating this video eagerly. Like I’m anticipating Multiverse of Madness. I dry cleaned my cape and it’s hanging in the front hall. Spider-Gwen looks technical. Dependent heavily on Dad Stacey not being third card from the bottom of the deck. My Event management skills “needs improvement” as the nuns would say so I could be biased. I really like my Protection decks tho and early reports are she is top in class. Miles & the S.H.I.E.L.D. kids looks fun but maybe a touch bland. The key being how often you can kick his two alt-powers from his card. FFG missed a beat not stuffing another Nick Fury into the Basic pile. I see Justice as more of a support Aspect (more bias) but he looks able enough for a nifty Leadership build. There may be some outstanding S.H.I.E.L.D. shenanigans for other heroes decks. As for villains, I hope Mysterio turns out to be the sleeper hit of the box. Sandy looks fun and once again Venom has the best agent in show business. I love that old KlyntarIan as much as the next man but two cycles worth? Finally, S6 & GobVenom have a lot of bookkeeping, just saying. Modules for days. I’m super excited. Anything that gets you extended functionality from your existing collection is a big plus. How long before someone gives the Gauntlet to GobV?
Don't give Goblin Venom any ideas!! I've only played Sandman and Venom so far, and yes, the "book keeping" is something I've heard from many others and I see the point. Definitely more things to manage, which means more things for me to overlook ... but enjoyed both of the mechanics. A villain attacking with "indirect damage"! That's just mean, and fun to work around. Hope your cape and web slingers are in for a fun weekend, and now we need a Nick Fury identity to abuse those SHIELD cards. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer Define fun weekend. Drive 3 hours to pickup at one gallery. Postponed meeting rescheduled to Saturday. Reception at another gallery on Sunday. All added to the daily studio regimen. Time for games in short supply and jealously guarded. But, hey, I got a couple wikid new hats.
Waiting for mine to arrive! Should be arriving soon! BTW, radioactive spiders get around all over the universes. Geez, how many versions of Spider-Man can you have?
My copy of the Spider-Verse graphic novel turned up this morning. Cannot wait to read it so I can talk about the comic ties to this boxed set when it arrives and I get a chance to play it on the channel. Am eagerly awaiting your playthrough of this one!
@@DaletheCasualGamer Love the flavor text but for this set I felt like I needed to go above and beyond as I have not followed the Spider-Man comics since I was a teenager!
@@writerguy911 I know nothing of Miles Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider (or Spider-Gwen), or the next few hero packs of Nova and Ironheart ... Spider-Ham, I've heard of along with the villains. :)
I'm curious what you think of the new Heroes. It feels like Gwen will be huge with Damage and Thwarting and all sorts of Web Warriors synergies, while Miles will... I guess Confuse people? Do you feel like there's a power differential between these two? Also, as a fan of Miles Morales' comics, I was surprised at how SHIELD-focused his pregen deck is, given that I don't remember SHIELD having any real impact on his books in ages. I was expecting more cards based on the Champions series, or at least his girlfriend (Starling) and most recent sidekick (Shift).
@Jay Plays Uh oh! I feel like I saw Miles kissing someone that wasn't Starling!! That's not good!! Only 2 plays in, and one with the precon. I'm not good at building protection, so I'm sure Gwen will go better with some more plays (right now getting stuck not being able to trigger abilities due to cards or situations). Miles, with the way he throws stunned and confused out, look out Dr. Strange! Both seem fun to play, and will only get better with more plays. :)
