Demonstrating the amazing new casting system from www.sinkershooter.com. Dubbed the B.O.S.S. (Big Ocean Sinker Shooter) this customised pnematic system will BLOW YOUR MIND!
*This is my second set of weight discs and I also have the 2 ounce and **enjoyable.fishing** recommend they work great and fit into the tackle box perfectly. the quality is there so I'm happy with them.*
We don't cast a bait out, only a 8-10 oz grapnel sinker (anchor) and then, using a non-return sliding clip with roughly a meter of 200 lbs wire and the bait, we slide the bait through the surf zone to the bottom...That way you can get much larger baits much deeper...and we also use this method with smaller baits for edibles (works great with live-baits too).
@theRAMowns We don't cast our baits, and we use really big baits like whole squid or a whole mackerel or a yellow-fin head etc...to catch big sharks and rays we typically use a 1.5mm wind-on leader roughly double the length of the rod (28 feet) with an additional 1 meter 250lbs wire to prevent being bitten off. I then have 340 meters of Kingfisher .55mm Giant Abrasion line, with 600 meters of backing (Braid) for a total of 950 odd meters of line on the Saltiga 50H.
Many years ago we tried casting on a beach to see how far and with 10' rod and 20lb line all of us got between 80 and 90 paces but I do like the idea as I'm getting older I don't think I could do that anymore.
@beeglou Heaving a 14 footer from the beach eh? That's gotta cause some complications with your bait slapping the sand behind you? I go with a TICA 11' with a well-tuned Daiwa Slosh 30 and 15 pound line. I dare say my bait is close to 2 football fields away when it hits water. Simple pendulum cast with alot of torque from my hips and abdomen.
How far that hook would drive up your arm and tear if the hook and bait are below or your arm is "misplaced" in front of the hook in the vid 125-127 watch it imagine if the leader line is long how it would whip up and tag your arm if it's in the wrong place haha
you should have measured it in Feet rather than Paces. People like myself want to know the amount of feet it lets out not how many steps you walk over to get it. In any case its much more than i can cast out my rod. So it is a very useful tool at the end of the day.
I knew this was a load of shit the second I saw him cast then lay the rod and reel on the sand lol. I can outcast that thing all day with my 12' ocean master not even trying. Looks cool but thats about it.
guys I'm an awful caster and I can cast 125yrds with a fixed spool reel and a 12foot beach caster very easily. I don't see the market for this device. well definitely not in Europe.
Ever heard of a pendulum cast?i think i can definitely outcast your sinker blaster......we love casting and its part of fishing where you tend to get excited at other than fish pull..learn to cast brother, and dun dishonor the legacy of fishing..cheers..distance with no purpose..
You cast like a girl! 14 ft Blue Marlin Heavy, Daiwa Saltiga 50H and .55 Giant abrasion with a 10oz sinker goes 180 meters here...but then again South Africans are real men...lol
I understand what you are trying to get over and that is your device can send bait and lead further than a very poor hand cast and I mean it is a very, very poor hand casting technique. A little bit of practice/tuition and you should be able to cast by hand 100 to 150 paces without having to cart all that other gear around with you.
Why do people keep inventing things that don't actually need inventing? The right rod and reel will get you out where you want to be. Comparing this machine with a basic short rod and a fixed spool reel which are not really designed as distance reels is rather pointless.
what's the point of wasting more money on compressed air or what so ever you call it.....it's better to just used that air money for more jigs and lures...i mean c;mon..those fucken air is expensives....and plus...i can throw up to 200 yards....no need for that thing....
Right let's clear this up ,(1)if you can't cast further than 125 paces you should give up fishing as it's not your sport ,(2) dunno how you intend to market this world wide as it would be illegal, especially on a public beach, (in GB it's called armed trespass ) , (3) you edited the force the cannons kicked back to throw a weighted object as such your firing it would put you on your arse if not kicked right out of hands , (4) amongst all the kit a fisherman takes he now has to lug a dive bottle all the way from vehicles to the surf ,I'd go back to the drawing board and design something more practical and sellable ,nicely built cannon though so you've got the skill to come up with an items for demo so can show investors to take to manufacture, all you need now is to think of said item the mass public wish to buy
