I have this exact watch and it’s one of the only watches in my collection that I have never thought about selling. It’s the perfect daily and an absolute strap monster!
My Sinn 104 2019 Green Metallic BW/LE rolls on a Mancave Leather green rally strap and is among my 3 faves. The Arabic numerals and accuracy set it apart from my other go-to daily timepieces and with fall coming in the northern hemisphere I’m ready for leather instead of the steel bracelets and rubber straps of summer.
I believe the bracelet versions may be more price increase. I have the white dial on the fine link and it looks to be about $150 more than when I bought it a few months ago. Love the white dial 104. It was a draw between this or the black dial Arabic version I would have gone with alternatively. I love the stark monochromatic contrast and crisp print on dial. It's probably not, but the shiny surface of the white dial is so white and clean, it almost looks like enamel.
Would like to see a white dial a Arabic dial. I have a 104 Green since they came out. Wear it daily on a variety of straps and natos. Had the bracelet but sold it. Only watch that might make me sell it is when sinn makes a blue U50.
i love this watch as well. it was always the price point that deterred me, it's getting easier and easier to walk on by with the price increase. quite a bit of coin for a selita movement.
It’s actually Sellita (2 l’s) and it’s an outstanding movement. I get the argument that this watch might be overpriced, but it’s not because of the movement.
@@jimv.6631 i agree that the sellita (2LL's this time) is a great movement. i have several watches that use it and they cost between $500 and $1000 (for the most expensive one) so that was my rationale for my opinion on the sinn 104 cost.
I have the green version. This white version could live happily alongside it in the collection. The polished version is pure 104, don't care for the brushed at all
I agree. It's not a keeper for me either. I have the Omega Seamaster 300 that fills that itch for me as well so I can't see myself owning this but a great watch nonetheless
So many 104s come up for sale on the secondary. People love them for a while and move on. Have yet to experience one myself but Im sure Ill sratch that itch some day...
I am so close to buying this one as I search for a white dial - sure seems like the best option at this price point out there. A little disappointed about the price increase - but what can you do? I see it being a strap monster but at least the leather is nice for now.
A real winner just wish they did the white dial with the Arabic numbers (at least I think that’s what they are called), that match the black dial. However the blue and green dials are wonderful too! 👍
Hi,Rob. Could you please zoom in a bit so we can see watch better. Thanks for sharing your video , best regards from Adrian in Sheffield South Yorkshire England 😀😺
At the moment this watch is my daily wearer. I bought two straps recently, one bright red and one bright green. I tried it with the green strap and it suited it great, I tried it on the red and I am going to keep it on the red. It is like a new watch. My accuracy is 6 seconds a day. Every few days I just stop it and restart it again. Definitely a keeper, apart from being a great looking watch, it is my only day date and I love the bidirectional bezel.
I love the Sinn 104, but i don't get the Countdown Bezel. Yes, it's something different than the usual diver bezels. But those are just way more practical. You can use them for two purposes: "Stopping" time (Which the countdown bezel can also do) and measuring time when you don't know how long something will take (Which the countdown bezel can't) Diver bezels win.
@@alectang1614 I disagree. If you want to "stop" 10 minutes with a diver bezel you can just wait til the minute hand reaches the 10 minute Mark. So diver bezels also fulfil the purpose of the countdown bezel. The only real difference is that it's a bit faster to tell how much time ist left with the countdown bezel. But what if you want to see how long an unknown timespan is? You can't do that with the countdown bezel. You can with diver bezels. That's why for me, the countdown bezel is just less practical in daily life.
@@PaulW50 ah I know what you mean now. I guess it is a bit more versatile. The countdown bezel is just a bit more unique. I don't know any other company doing that.
I absolutely love my black dial 104. It's almost the perfect watch for me. I say almost because if it was perfect, I wouldn't have an excuse to buy other watches. I prefer the indices instead of the arabic numbers. I find, for me, that the watch gets too busy between the dial and bezel numerals.
Eventually the price will reach a point when the demand will flatten out and maybe even decrease. Wish I had gotten a sinn before these price hikes. Still gotta aim to get one though...
I own several Sinn watches (wearing the 3006 now) and they are all on straps. The Sinn H bracelets/clasps are junk, the fine link bracelet is decent. The clasps on the rubber straps are nice just a bit bulky. Sinn's for the most part look good on straps.
The H link is not "junk", far from it. Its well made, and look good. Sure the clasp shell is a pressed metal design (but thick) but the internal parts of the clasp are milled.
I don't really get the Sinn 104. Sure, it is a nice watch but $1440 on strap and $1670 on bracelet? At those prices, I would expect at least a ceramic bezel. Never really liked the hands on these either. The white dial Christopher Ward C60 seems so much nicer and is only $840 (after current discount) on a very nice bracelet. That's half the price of the Sinn 104! Not sure what makes the 104 worth the price..
Frank Wulfers Good luck with the long term viability of the CW. The forums are full of horror stories about the quality issues and unbelievably bad customer service.
Maybe you don't keep a 104 because if you owned one you would have no reason to buy anymore watches !!! And also, that Oris and Alpinist look like they could be cousins.
I love Sinn as a brand, but this white face with black bezel is just not doing it for me too. at first glance it makes me think of Swatch? Does that make any sense?.............It has a cheapish appearance!
