I’m fucking crying, for real. Takes me back to simpler times that I’ll never get back. But, it is what it is. All you can do is look back fondly and smile, and be happy that you have those memories at all.

Pokémon really peaked on the DS, speaking of music, art style and story.

you know pokemon is truly magical when you read the comment section and see people talking about how special this region is, their first experiences with pokemon, simpler times, etc. i remember when my mom got me blue version way back in the day. instead of backlit screens i used mini lamps that you plugged into the gameboy so i could play under the blanket. gen 1, 2, and 3 are where most of my pokemon memories are from but i’m really glad i picked up gen 4. awesome mix, man. hits right in the feels

Gen 4 was the 1st one I got in the series. Parents were very religious and fell for the anti-pokémon craze (among most anime and games for me) so once I got a DS, i was able to save up enough for Diamond. Even bought it used at gamestop so it didn't come with a case in fear of them finding it and throwing a fit at me xD I remember using Diamond to call my friends long-distance, since skype wasn't well-known at the time (also shit pc). I remember my 1st competitive team. I remember my starter was Turtwig, and that I steamrolled through the 1st gyms. Gave me such excitement to keep playing.

I can only describe Sinnoh and Hoenn with one word: *Home*

This reminds me of using the mine system in Pearl with my brother and we would set up traps around our bases and try to get each other's flags, it was so much fun when I could just play on my ds with my brother and the only thing that we would worry about was our mom coming to say it was bedtime, but we would still sneak our games under the pillow

if there's gen 8 sinnoh games, they should have lofi soundtracks to relax/study to. fits the comfy and solemn vibes of the region perfectly

I took the times back then for granted. Playing DPPT until my DS looked like it had been through hell and back was some of the most peaceful times of my life. Edit: This mix is fucking insane, that route 209 theme almost broke me😭

I have never seen anything that unites more the people than pokemon. It's amazing how everyone has his personal storie and how it makes us fell younguer again. It's more than a game it's the chilhood of all of us and the way we had to desconnect from world when we were kids. It's just amazing how a game has changed our lives.

the pokemon league theme is so heartwrenching. as an adult i still have that drive to be the best that these games instilled in me, even though the world is so much bigger than pokemon for me now. its not easy to be the best, but gamefreak never stopped encouraging us as youngsters to aim for the top and never give up and im always so grateful for that. the composers of DPP soundtrack have my utmost respect and gratitude for their hard work and incredible creativity. The first Pokémon game of my adulthood. It's crazy, because even though I was about 17-18 when I played it, I barely remember those days, but one thing I'll never forget is my love for the music in the game. I beat Pokémon Diamond and sold it for cash because I needed it. Not the happiest time of my life (things are a lot better now, thankfully), but I get a good nostalgia from hearing this. Helps me remember the few good times I had back then. You've done a great job here 👍✨

this video really just brings back memories i forgot i had. memories of playing pokemon in the car on long car rides. memories of nervously going into gamestop for the events. memories of warm sunny summers and chilly autumns where i could just play pokemon and nothing mattered to me except making my way to the hall of fame. stuff like this just really gives me a warm feeling of welcoming. its almost like a welcoming back to home. a home that i and many others lost long ago throughout the endless sea of days that have flowed onward with time...

They say you never forget your first. First region, first game, first starter. And Platinum was my introduction to the (somewhat) wonderful world of Pokemon (looking at you, Scarlet/Violet). I happily remember being adamant I wouldn't nickname my starter Chimchar "Monkey" at the insistence of one of my younger cousins.

Sinnoh had the best soundtrack of any Pokemon game I've ever played. Even if it's not my favourite Gen, I've had more happy memories with this game than I think I've ever had on any Pokémon game. I grew up around it's time, but I didn't get it until years later. Wayyy after the online communications went down, but that didn't stop 12-13 year old me. I remember playing through the game with my Piplup, Champion. I remember calling him that because I knew he'd be the one to get me past the League at last. I traded him to my friend for their Pokedex and when he came back I had to regain our friendship all over again, and I did so in a way that I called "Restoring his memories". I used the VS Seeker and went from the start of the game, all the way through to the end, fighting every trainer that would face me, and every wild Pokemon I found, all the way through to the league yet again. He was already lvl 83 when I started, and when I was done he had gotten to lvl 97, so I raised him that bit further by grinding on the League. Champion was the very first Pokemon I ever raised to lvl 100 all by myself. These tracks bring back memories that are so dear to me, just like Champion was. I lost my Platinum card ages ago and I miss him so much. Here's hoping I find my best friend again sometime soon, even if I have to re-raise him all over again. I'd do anything for my buddy.

generation 3-5 was peak Pokemon. I played the shit out of Pearl/Platinum. These games were so good. They were a bit tougher than most Pokemon games, had a fantastic atmosphere etc.

Pokemon diamond was my first pokemon game. I remember trading my copy of pokemon ranger with a friend at summer camp for it. I never traded him back lol. Turtwig was my starter. I remember how hard this game was and how much there was to explore. I remember replaying it a few times, something I've only done with a few other video games. This gives me so much comfort to listen to, especially since I unfortunately lost my copy of the game.

A 10 year old who grew up watching pokemon finally got the money for a real game of pokemon, i remember back the day, I was ecstatic, Finally able to play one of the games( of the series) that truly change its life. I happily remember those days, even though they seemed so far. Thank You for making this, its mind blowing, it makes me feel happy and sad at the same time. Its like coming back to that world that i was so into as a kid.I cannot be more thankfull for all the people who even the pass of the years are still here, together as a community. Love From Peru

I miss the magic of my childhood

Diamond was my very first Pokemon game, and the only main series game I actually played as a kid. Even before I got the game itself, I remember getting my hands on the strategy guide from a scholastic book fair, and pouring over it for HOURS (I still have it, it's pretty tattered at this point). I still remember my team, led by my Torterra, Leafy (so creative lol). Now at 21, I'm getting back into Pokemon, maybe moreso than I ever was as a kid. I'm playing through Gen 5 and LOVING it, but Sinnoh will always be first in my heart, so nostalgic and comforting. Anyway, thank you so much for compiling these!
