The original Orcs Must Die is how I found Sips and I've rewatched the playthroughs of 1 and 2 dozens of times, they're amazing, sadly I have very little freetime so I don't keep up on a lot of the streams, but this one I'll have to watch even if it takes awhile.

Its ironic as for OMD2, I used to go back to his videos as he generally had good setups for these levels. This last level he did really hurt me, pushers are nearly always useless and he never really used the grinders

Sips learns as he plays. He gets better over time. I just wish he would upgrade his traps for element damage x)

Part of it is that it can be upgraded. At max rank it is more effective

@@ruairimadden8688 I'm not even subbed. I play the RU-vid game still. That is a numerical impact. In the videos I watched sips went from 5k to 2700. The only thing I skipped was his 8 hearthstone vids. Ouch for him, not me.

I'm here watching sips play to determine whether or not I get orcs must die 3 but I also enjoyed dd1 & 2 a lot What would you say the big differences are between them? They seem like very similar games at surface level

​@@0PlaZma0 It differs in many ways kinda. The combo system causes a greater variety of using traps in OMD than DD if you go for the scoring system. You also have walls and roofs to place traps. In a way the placement of traps is more strategic about making combinations while in DD it's more about putting certain traps in places and upgrading them in the round. In OMD your hero and the choice of traps they have are more important to beat waves and the enemies go for you. In DD you go around the map upgrading towers or you just stand somewhere during most waves and you have "all characters" with you to place any trap you want. DD has a way deeper character and trap customisation through the RPG elements. Your character and traps change by what you make them. They are also a lot stronger with sometimes just 2 or 3 guarding a lane by themselves. In OMD it's a pretty simplistic upgrade system and you place tons of smaller traps. Something maybe smaller but for me it feels quite important when playing games, DD has better animations and it feels more "slick". OMD everything feels more stiff. And then ofc in DD you grind to get awesome gear because that's what makes you a lot stronger. The RPG element that OMD doesn't have as much. It's not so much about playing one and having played the best. They are different enough that they both deserve a shot if you're into the genre and maybe you'll only like one or see them live next to each other each helping with a certain itch.

I think the rpg elements of DD are really what kept me going with the game to be honest, I imagine this will end up feeling quite stale when it's only really the map that changes... That said, I will still give it a go as it might keep me hooked through other means Thanks for taking the time to go into so much detail 😊
