Savile, and the fact that the BBC covered up his abuse, are the reason I will never buy a TV licence. **I don't legally require one before the Internet accuses me of a crime clearly more severe than that of Savile.

If you complained about him you lost your job and the complaint went in the bin, your name was mud and you spent years watching your back, Jimmy was a popular and powerful guy with friends in high places, Royal family, Mp's and Big names in showbiz. He raised a fortune for charity and was a national treasure so was pretty much untouchable, had his own flat in several different hospitals and even the keys to broadmoor hospital, that houses the most deranged killers in the country
@PressXtonotdie Elvis was actually one of Saviles pall bearers. Seriously, rumours have been swirling around Savile for years. I dont think my mates father was lying when he mentioned the file held on Savile, in fact he was disgusted that no action had ever been taken against him, he put this down to friends in high places who shared Saviles "interests". I hope someone one day writes a book exposing Savile and his dodgy friends.

At first I didn't want to believe the stories circulating about Jimmy, but now my mind is made up... I recently came across an old episode of Through The Keyhole in which Jimmy featured, and he boasted about having young girls back at his flat for legover and chips. At first I thought it was just part of his surreal sense of humour, but now I see it as more of an elaborately disquised confession. I grew up in the 80s when Jim'll Fix it was on and saw him as a hero at the time, but no more!!!
I did a similar list with all my favourite things on to help me get a job. It went, tossing, drugs, smelling my own farts, junk food and spying on people . I have been unemployed for 20 years
what exactly were his connections that he was allowed to get away with all that? was he linked to organized crime? or british intelligence? are there any theories on what names he was going to name if he had been outed? if anthony summers or some other investigative journalist did a book on the savile cover-up i'm sure it would be a best-seller.
He run high level pedo parties. A lot of high ranking people visited. That’s simply how he got away with it. He knew he would be found out on his death. That’s why he had his coffin covered in concrete. I’ve seen the grave with the headstone removed. He isn’t going anywhere and that is what he wanted.
Notice how, in his older age, he is bereft of the energetic mannerisms we had come to expect such as "Now then, now then" or "Goodness gracious" and it seems the yodel too had been put out to pasture.
There is his last ever photo taken from days before he died. He looks properly done in and extremely old even by his standards. I also remember an accompanying video (which I can't find anymore) and his arms were slow and very trembly when smoking his cigar. He had none of his usual pizazz and was dead days later.

Lol my mum works at stoke mandival as a doctor! haha she says all his plaques have been taken away but I dunno about the resturant called jimmies... She always thought he was creepy! Lol he was in the lunch que and she deliberately went somewhere else! The nurses said never get in a situation alone with him at the hospital! Lol my mum told me all this well over a year ago...
Saville is not the first nor, sadly, will be the last. Creatures, celebrity craving, out of touch, misguided individuals genuinely run governments but I dont believe, for one second, they can be mentioned in same breath as Mr Saville. He is unique in both his charitable work and criminal behaviour (yet to be proven but likely)
Hi, that was my opinion when the allegations first came out, because like many others I just saw them as rumours because it was hard to believe such a thing of Jimmy Savile, who was a renowned worker for charity. In fact many of those who knew him like Esther Rantzen didn't believe it initially as you'll see from their tributes to Jimmy after he died. But it's only after the thorough investigation carried out that there now seems no doubt in it. Cheers, Bryan :)
We laugh sometimes at the North Koreans and how they could be so brainwashed by the cult of personality. I now know what Saville did, yet part of me still warms to his voice and his personality, memories of childhood. However another part of me understands both him and Harris are really monsters . All the more for us to be on the guard for the future not to be blinded.
02:30 - he sounds a bit drunk to me in this interview. It was interesting in the Louis Theroux documentary how Louis found a whole load of half finished bottled under the sink and how Savile said that thery were for his brother. I think he was good at hiding what was going on...
It's a shame because he must have been genuinely wanting to help out and must have actually cared otherwise he wouldn't have gave so much to charity. Unfortunately though he clearly liked his young girls.... not that this excuses anything, it's still disgusting and he deserves no sympathy for that but it's just a shame he was that way inclined when if he wasn't he could have been an absolute hero :/

RIP Jimmy Saville done so much great work for charity who never wanted to take the credit for it. Great entertainer and made people's dreams come true. Tilts my hat too you Sir.
You've got to admire the man; he talks a lot of sense. It's just such a pity that he had to spoil it by abusing all these teenagers - a great role model destroyed.
Having seen this, I agree with you. He does actually talk a lot of sense. Like a lot of people, I quite liked him as a celebrity. He was a bit weird, but then a lot of other celebrities are, Ken Dodd, Timmy Mallett, Sue Pollard, to name a few. But abusing kids was the lowest of the low.

@cheechforprez He's on Top of the Pops in 1976 wearing a Celtic/Rangers top. He had close links with the Royal Family and called the Duke of Edinburgh "The Boss". He was most likely a high ranking Freemason like the people who run Rangers.
But he did entertain them. You could make that arguement about anyone. Let's say that you enjoy watching x-factor and are entertained by Simon Cowell, and it comes out that he's done something iffy. Does that mean that you weren't entertained? Of course not. People should be judged for their crimes, but equally applauded for what good they did even if it was part of a plan to cause harm.
