Well at least they have the Philippines...sort of. In most maps, they tend to forget Mindanao and the Visayas but this time it's Palawan they left out. Still, at least we're there, most of us.

As a New Zealand born Australian Citizen yes we are trying to get New Zealand of the maps as we want your Prime Minister as she is WAY better than any of the ones we have had since John Winston Howard was our PM and all the rest have only been in the job for themselves. Can we please borrow her for a little while to show our politicians how to work for your Country and not for themselves??

Any antipodean would recognize this gag. The "corrected" maps with south at the top have been a popular gag in australia for a while. And I presume NZ too.

Michigan has an upper peninsula too. Kept getting left off Michigan gov't maps; only "the mitten" was shown. Legislature finally passed a law requiring the u.p. be on maps!

Actually yes. In actual fact the earth is represented wrong side up and what is called the northern hemisphere is made to look larger. This video is obviously a very funny tourism ad but actually there is genuine inaccuracy on world maps.

I really think the time has come to consider a westward expansion. New Zealand Aotearoa has clearly expanded beyond its boundaries and now is the time to claim our natural birthright - the island of East Aotearoa - currently called 'Australia'. Now is also the time to throw off of colonial remnants by becoming a republic, distancing ourselves from the queen, and getting rid of the name 'New Zealand' in favor of the far more suitable 'Aotearoa'.
