“Courage” is a word that immediately comes to mind as we remember New Zealand cricket’s most successful batsman, Martin David Crowe - who passed away yesterday aged 53. Thanks to SKY Television for this footage.
For me as a kiwi ..to see Alan border run to martin so quickly and without hesitation to his rival,. nothing short of how great border was..and is...huge respect
What a player this guy was ... I remember being so scared as a kid when he walked into bat. It was him and Viv Richards back then. They attacked like no other batsman .. It's so sad ... He was taken too early
I have seen class players adapted martin Crowe's technique or style of play when they came from the poor run form..saw players like sachin, manjerekar, damien Martyn uses his style of play on quite few occasion..he is the best example for talent cannot be judged with test match average..he is certainly a better and a great player than what stats says, 46 test average..RIP Crowe..
I came to the great game late in life, your book inspired me in not only cricket but all life ,now i learn you left us ,i missed it at the time and now have just seen the vid ,one of the best not just nz All around the world ,R I P
RIP MARTIN CROWE is simply A LEGEND simply the Greatest batsmen this country will ever produce . Sorry kane you a distant second. MARTIN IS THE MASTER YOU ARE THE PUPIL
I ranked him the world best ever , when Wasim Akram and Waqas was on their peak time of career, they could not do anything against him. They could not bowled him out
After Viv Richards slowed in early 80s, Martin Crowe was the world Best Batsman until Gooch blossomed in early 90s followed by arrival of Lara and resurgence of Steve Waugh
