My background with using multiple types of cutting machines, means I know what to look out for in a cutter. My geeky knowledge of software used with them is a plus. If I am loyal to a brand, it is for good reason - it has nothing to do with courting views (I don't monetise my channel) and I don't sell stuff. What you get IS my honest opinion. The good, the bad and the ugly. That, and free files! Work arounds when needed. Alternatives were wanted. Help when needed.

Omgosh this is the first video I have seen which showed up close the point as to which the blade should be. Even the video of the guys who are with the company did not give this particular closeness of the blade thank you so much. People can create a video about the blade and to what point it should be but showing it up close makes a BIG DIFFERENCE.

I'm so glad I ran across your video!! I am getting a Juliet delivered this week and this helps a lot! I do have the Cameo 4 and Cricut Explore Air 2 and the Joy so I can use those for paper cuts until this gets sorted out...thanks for your honest review and because of this I just followed you! 😁

Glad I’m not the only one having trouble with that middle wheel. I use it for Siser Easysubi and that middle wheel causes a smear on the design. I’m really surprised they didn’t catch this problem seeing how it’s their own products.

Fingers crossed they fix the software to be on par with say silhouette design studio business edition. Then this machine would be I’d say the best on the market. But software is everything 😊

I think the full version of Leo will be subscription when it does appear..sadly. However SCAL6 will now happily design for and cut with the Siser machines.

You can design in silhouette business and just save as SVG and import..

Thanks Sandra, have been looking forward to your review. I am going to wait until the roller issue has been sorted out as 99% of my cutting is of 12 x 12 paper and that roller would drive me crazy 😂.

I think it's a great machine but you are wise to wait if it isn't going to meet your needs. Better to have fewer happy users than lots of dissatisfied ones!

Thank you for your review. I love my Juliet too and am happy to wait for more updates to the software (still have my Silhouette and Curio in the meanwhile). I do hate the roller problem though as I mostly cut card. Are you able to share your ideas about taking the pressure off that end roller or is it still a work in progress?

it's a great cutter - Siser is not a software company looking to take on Adobe Illustrator or Figma. Leonardo has the right basic functionality for "basic" graphic designing. I personally don't think Siser should add many more

No one wants it to be like Adobe but there are people who need more than it has. It all depends on what you are doing with it.

Thanks for the review. I'm thinking of getting one, but the only thing I'm concerned about is the NOISE!. Does it sound the same as the cameo?

Did they ever improve the issue with 12x12 and cardstock like you mentioned? I'm considering this machine instead of a Cameo 5 due to the lack of customer service.

I love the machine but there is a detail that I do not like and it is the way in which the folds are made for a folding or envelope and it is a perforated line instead of being a whole line only marked with pressure. Do you have any recommendations to mark it without cutting it?

If using Leonardo, you can set your lines to what you want in the layers panel. Make sure you have updated to the latest version. If using SCAL6 you can do the same. Set whatever pressure you want. For envelopes it might be harder to do score lines without a dedicated score tool. However, you can buy a pen holder (off brand) and use nail dotting tools if you really want to. Put a message on my FB page for further explanation. (Info under video).

I have not been told they have been released yet but be wary of buying other from a proper dealer/store. Some have been conned by stolen display, case only models being sold on! Don't fall for a scammer.

Print and cut is great! I tend to use SCAL6 because it can also control the machine and it works perfectly, with options on where to put the reg marks.

Bit confused about wheel to hold material; isn't it movable by raising wheels? Sure saw that in another quick start video.. or is it something they changed/added later..

You can raise and lower the wheels but only all of them in one go, they are not independent.

@@siserjulietbeginnerstopro5041 pretty sure once you have raised can move rollers, will double check if can find video I watched but as far as recall was specific thing she showed, once raised can pinch and move, then lower, can't move when lowered, will double check..

You can move the position of individual rollers from side to side but all are up or down at the same time, you cannot raise just one.

Hope you got your answer, but if not... and I'm not trying to be vague, but it does depend on your printer. AFAIK typical 8.5x11 sheet I can p&C approx 7.7 x 9.8", but I have to watch that I'm not intruding on the registration marks. I didn't get my Juliet based solely on this though, but I'm so glad I did! Honestly, if you just like to push a button and go, stick with Cricut. But if you want precision and perfect cuts, a quiet machine, dependable software/operation, then get it!

Sorry, only just seen this. I have no idea what YT does with comments most of the time. If you use SCAL6, the only limit is your printer, you can put reg marks 4mm in from the paper edge and it will still work.
