One of the best parts of watching Sissel live is the way she has fun with the music, when it's the right thing to do. She is so far beyond wonderful I can't begin to describe it!
Translation Kalle: "It's my turn now, right?" Sissel: "?" Kalle: "It's fantastic to be here, to stand next to you when you're singing ..." Sissel: "You think so?" Kalle: "Yes! It's an honor. However, there's a song that Anders and I have been talking about, that we would like to hear you sing. You will hear which song it is when we start playing it" Sissel: (not the exact words)"Here? in front of all this people?" Kalle: "Yes. I'm sure you've heard this one before" Sissel: "Okay"
Sissel is such a natural beauty that she melts my heart and there is nothing I can do about it. And that smile , she even gives Julia Roberts competition.
This was amazing I love Sissel to sing anything but this bit of fun was fantastic. Im sure they are great friends. Maybe the audience came to hear Sissel but this song being sung in tenor is better.
To believe in God is easy as you can feel the Sun & see our earth. HOWEVER SISSEL, is one of the Angels that God has given us in order for us to remember 🙏 that he exists ❤
Love your film, but my favorit is Kalle Moraeus! ;) I just love his sense of humour, and Sissel seems to appreciate it to! Nice to se these to musical geniuses perform together.
I VE LISTEN MANY TIMES TO THIS RECORDING AND SO ENJOY IT. I DO WISH CONVERSATION WAS AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH. I THINK SHE IS THE BEST SOPRANO SINGER IN THE WORLD.
Kalle Moraeus invites her to the concert as the lead singer and star of the night and promise to give her the lead of this very famous song that she probably have heard before,, and then singin it all by himslef instead, until she take over it at the end ;)
The funniest parts are when she turns abruptly and he ducks like he's gonna get hit, then she puts her hand on his head and plays with is hair as they hold that one note...
Great fun. Best not to get too po-faced about all things music, especially among friends. Sissel seems to elicit affection and loyalty from those who work with her in the making of it.
I lived in North Dakota when I was young, so I can translate (roughly) Norsky. What he's saying to Sissel, initially, is this: "Hey, kid, hold up a minute, will ya. This is a difficult song and I'm afraid you're gonna mess it up. I'll gonna go ahead and back you up as needed. No, no, I don't mind a bit doing this for you. So when you're ready - I mean really ready - we'll start. You ready? Let's do it!"
As much as I like to hear her sing, I have to agree that this particular aria is better suited for a tenor voice. NOW, that said, I rather liked hearing the piece as a duet!
Tho maybe planned they played this act as full exprompt. No matter planned or warned, but probably this was the real gem for all. Such things bring real life to concert. But as i watched Kalle for more i'd suspect they really pushed her into water. They knew she is good swimmer ;-)
It's no banter in the start. Surprisingly enough because Norwegians and Swedes usually banter eachother. Moraeus says it is a song he'd like to hear Sissel to sing. 'You will know what song it is when we start playing.'
