Yep, you can't get angry or you will be seen as 'having an attitude' or 'getting angry'. People assume you will lash out at them and talk to you like your a child. You learn to distrust everyone because it's better that way. The love you receive is only based on what you can provide or what value you can show, man do I wish that would stop and end with only my employment/side hustles. Everyone distrusts you and assumes you are like the worst of your community. Etc. There is a reason black men seek peace as a requirement for their love. The world refuses to be peaceful with them.

Same here, Brother!!! I am 46 years old, unmarried and childless and people look at me like I'm crazy when they discover that about me. I sometimes even get looked at with suspicion or looked at like there is something wrong with me. I don't have to deal with baby mama drama, child custody battles, or paying child support. It feels wonderful!!!
I got no kids and no baby mommas single educated and make just shy of 90k and I feel the same way still got things I want to accomplish but avoiding every statistic was number 1

@Roger Phuck that, I ride, walk and drive around randomly happy. When I see random people frowning, I make eye contact and tell them smile you look miserable. Some smile, some get offended, man or woman. Sometimes I am nice with the words, sometimes I get confrontational and ready for whatever they want.
You are not the only one that's notice this. I thought I was tripping. I work in the Healthcare field and our women will do EVERYTHING to make a brotha miserable. This is why I stick to myself amd buy things that make me happy or go to the gym.
This is why I spend the majority of my time by myself. It’s so peaceful and positive in my lair. I can completely take the mask and the armor off and just relax.
It’s great, no one to impress you stay true to yourself. Enjoy whatever you want, do whatever you want. I enjoy silence and peace and unnecessary stress. It’s great. I have noticed this type of behavior in people I work with! They would make the work place toxic and harder if there were too many happy blacks! Therefore, if black workers we’re walking around looking depressed then all of a sudden the tasks would get a lot easier! It’s sad but as a black worker you have better not smile too much is the slogan! Now, once I stepped out of America and started working Overseas, this rule didn’t apply!😊
Fortunately I work with Germans in the Rebuild Master shop and my supervisor is a 420 blaze it man. I can work lit all day, as long as I get the job done properly.

I work in the Healthcare field. You speak nothing but facts. If you are a black man with morals, dignity and have a backbone to stand against the BS that happens in the workplace, everyone including our women will try to break your peace.

Black men have dropped the ball for decades, financially, education wise, and spiritually. @@DONNYPESO actually I plan on retiring overseas when my son graduates and I pay my home off. I will be leasing it out through a realtor. I had it built 5 years ago. Building one overseas was always the future plan while leasing one here in the states. My sons the focus now though
She's right: nobody, and i mean nobody, wants a Black man, to be happy, at all. At one point, and even now out of habit, i finds myself hiding the moments of happiness from others in order to preserve them and make them last longer because they're so rare in my life. It took a long time, and a lot of work, to get to that point.

Non black friends at times would ask me why black men usually give me a head nod or some type of welcoming gesture. It's because we know how hard it is just getting through the day being us. Sometimes feels like BW, because of their bad choices, are just as vindictive and ravenous as "them folks" as you say.

I see this but you can't play a victim too much and you have to drown out the noise. Look for your happiness no matter where it is. Trust me, the people closest to you will be the worst ones, they will try to destroy your dreams, tell you you're crazy of find something negative to say. These people are toxic so keep them at a distance or cut them off completely.
There are so many black men today (especially here in the USA) focused and moving forward in life that many people are noticing that right now. A lot of black men right now are also learning to love and value themselves properly in such a way that is both healthy and powerful too.

True, but if the majority of people you encounter are black, that's going to be the majority of your experience.... Negative or positive. Just remember you get what you give. You respond with negative energy, most times you will receive negative responses, especially if you don't look intimidating to the other person. It's really mind over matter, words are powerful. Even the Bible says kind words turns away wrath, but our egos get us in trouble.
This is why I keep myself solo, I realize if you don’t come down to the level of retardation people will look down on you. If you want to live good, create a peaceful environment people will try their best to change that because misery enjoys company which is exactly why I stay solo, all I need is the heavenly host by my side and I’m good. I’ve been let down too many times by so called friends, family and kin and once you get burn so many times you get tired lol.

It's interesting because I've had people question my happiness, especially in the morning. They act as if I should wake up hating the world and that's just not me. That doesn't mean I don't see what's going on, however, I choose to put a smile on my face and make the most out of the day. It's so crazy to me how people respond to a brotha being cheerful, what a strange world.
Listen, if you like yourself, love what you are doing, love the one you're with and just happy all around general keep doing you. I have lived in California for a while but i have had a taste of the disrespect as a black man. Immigrant or citizen, there is no difference. On the other hand, i strongly believe that our women (bw) should be a black man's peace. I'm just very arrogant, confident, dominant, but truthful with butter black women, and most of them open up when I am this way. I walked past a frowning black young woman and smiled whiled saying Hello Queen. She smiled. I see a woman at the stop light. I yell hey woman I like your dress or hairstyle, or damn you look good in that dress. Women love compliments, be assertive, be dominant, be handsome, don't call profane words, unless they earn it. I like my women young and middle aged.
As a black man it's so different for us. I mean half the situations in life you are supposed to deal with we have to pause and remember "I am a black man" before we do anything else. Like my life is a problem for everyone one else. I mean imagine having to remember every day almost at every moment having to stop and think "oh yea, it's different for me".
