@@skittlessquad6031 LIES!!!! I watched the Netflix trailer for Veronica claiming people had to walk out of the movie theater because it was "so scary" so I thought hmm this seems like a pretty good movie to watch tonight with my girl. So I proceeded to hype up the movie to her so we can watch that instead of some lame movie she likes to pick, only to get served a cold wet fart 😡.. For months afterwards I was constantly reminded of the cold wet fart of a movie called Veronica every time I suggested a movie to watch. 😞
Fun fact, "Socorro" means help me in Spanish. But it doesn't just mean help me like "help me set the table," but help me as in "save me." It's typically yelled when someone is in distress or danger.
Fun fact it's actually more Portuguese. Ayuda is a call for help but auxilio is a distress call for needing assistance which are more common for Spanish. I speak Spanish but I can't speak Portuguese, very different languages.
If ever a film has been interesting enough to warrant a prequel, it’s Veronica. You know it’s not going to be too bogged down with references or Easter Eggs, just some good demon stuff.
I love how youtube closed captions misinterprets words sometimes. Instead of "self flagellating device" it put up the text "self flatulating device". BIG difference lol
The Vatican decreed officially in 2018 that nuns don't have to be virgins. The only other time the matter was addressed by the Vatican was 1970, where they affirmed the religious rule for virginity and celibacy. Pretty young grandmother you got there. Let's hear that long story.
While I thought this was a relatively average horror, nun-type movie, I did quite like the Veronica tie in at the ending as I was completely unaware this was supposed to a prequel until then. On the bright side it did make me watch Veronica again, which comparatively is quite a scary and intriguing movie.
I loved this movie! Thought it was a great story and complimented Veronica very well. I couldn’t predict the plot, and was moved by the story of Sister Socorro. Great video!
I have a theory that the initial death of the little girl who was hanging was done y the nuns to further cover up what they did because our protag was starting to get close to the truth through her and perhaps the nun ghost was trying to warn her. The only other confirmed death before the events of the movie is another nun
Oh thanks.. I even wonder why unnecessarily sakiuro has to kill rosa?? Like wrf she did? Even sakuro had a little girl. And why the hell she have to kill rosa for no reason!
I feel like nuns have been scary for a long time. I remember the one nun scene in The Blues Brothers framing the nun as some possessed evil. I'm sure that was a reference to an earlier film, but not one I know of 😅
When he said "if the nun was actually good" i immediately paused the video and watch the film. And after watching it, he's not wrong. It was actually good.
Story remind me of more eastern time of horror with trapped spirit that gos mad and willing to do anything to stop the torment rather than inheritly evil spirits. I can easily imagine this story taking place in Japan.
I watched Veronica years ago, saw this in my sun feed, and decided to watch the movie, without watching your video, loved it, and that Veronica tie in blew my mind!!! As I loved Veronica too!
I have always enjoyed watching all of your episodes of ending explained. Thank you for always making the best explanations of movies that sometimes have a message that I miss.
I get why Sister Julia and Mother Superior and the other Sister were killed, but why was Rosa killed? I guess because she finished the Hangman drawing?!? I need to go back and watch VERONICA. I saw it a few years ago but I forgot a lot of it. I do remember liking it though.
It wasn’t a bad film, it was just average. Damn sir, as usual, wish I’d seen your take before watching it. Not because I can’t make my own mind up, but I’m usually left frustrated when I’m wondering what I’ve missed. Your astute insight is always helpful. Thanks for that 👍
I would love it if you would cover “Dream Scenario.” I’d post this elsewhere on your socials, but this is the only one I maintain. Womp womp. Keep up the excellent content! You’ve introduced me to some of my all-time favorites!! ❤❤❤
While the obvious comparisons are there to bemade, I thought this was so mcuh better than The NunII. From narrative, to acting, to atmosphere, this was such a wonderful suprise . I thought Veroncia was okay but this was one of the best for 2023.
Not sure if youll see this, but whats been one of your most favorite horror movie (like the unknown kind if horror, ones that give you the feeling of not wanting to see whats in that dark corner 😂) so far, specifically within thr past few years? Thanks for always taking the dive! ❤
Love your channel. Are you from Chicago? I am, and I talk fast, and I listen to fast talkers all the time. You, sir, are also a fast talker. I usually speed up the pace on most vids, but you- no way! Oh, and just an old lady’s opinion- your hair looks very handsome when it is short and crisp.
I really liked this movie! I wasn't aware that it was a Veronica prequel at first. I was really looking for Horror movies with a catholic church mix to it and I was really amazed by this one.
I thought this movie was masterfully done and the aspect ratio offered some unsettling atmosphere the whole way through. Paco plaza is one of my favorite filmmakers, it’s decided. Loved the final 15 minutes of this, the score accompanying those scenes ramping up the tension was awesome to witness. Not to compare, i thought this was way creepier than the Nun II. Spread the word of Sister Death if you liked it
Well done movie although it had similar ideas to AHS coven with the eyes blinding and eating eyes.. They added their own unique twist on it though. I liked the ending too JUSTICE!
With Mathew McConaughey also? If it is the movie I think it is, it is Fantastic!! One of Paxton's most underrated movies. Especially since he also directed it.
@@blahblah6497 Yup! That’s the one, with young McConaughey - found it on an “overlooked horror movies” list and enjoyed it a lot! Didn’t know Paxton directed as well
Omg I'm never this early! Can you do a video on the movie martyrs! The original French version and then the first remake? The second remake is terrible
You know how people have pet peeves? Some can't stand hearing chewing noises, others get upset when you don't put the toilet seat up/down. Mine's seeing nuns with popstar makeup. I'll sit and and watch a 10+ hour saga about a purple half god who manipulates reality with gems on his glove and have tons of fun... But nuns with eyeliner and killer eyebrows? F that.
Kind of weird too since the world supply of nuns is dropping fast. For some reason plenty of men are still becoming priests but very few women are becoming nuns so convents are closing at a frantic rate. Making horror movies about nuns is like making a horror movie about Siberian leopards or Orangutans
This movie is SO good I enjoyed it so much ahehe originally I found it on Netflix and gave it a chance and after that i just had to share it with my friends haha I think i watched it 4 times that week with diff people. There's a kinda sequel to it called Veronica, I hope FoundFlix does it next :D
I remember the Netflix trailer for Veronica claiming that "it was so scary people had to walk out of the movie theater". And me believing it and hyping the movie up when me and my girl were tryna pick a movie to watch, only for the movie to be a wet fart of a movie 😂
Veronica is awesome, it absolutely rips, no fart included. Yes though, the hype killed it. It’s only scary if you grew up with catholic horror and are sensitive to demonic horror.
There's an American film called Immaculate coming out sometime 2024 which looks like it's based off this film but so does EVERY nun movie. Wonder if it's related at all but it's hard to find a good nun horror movie lol
