Sister Loc Update | 6 Months Post Trim | Was it Worth It? | Thin, Fine, & Soft Hair

Always good to see you Ash - hope your health is getting better! LOVE your SL updates 🎉 U were one of my inspirations to get SL bc my hair is similar to yours. I'm 2 yrs in & had slippage around my perimeter too. My last retie I had 3 perimeter locs slip - wanted to keep them & I sectioned them off. I told my loctician that but she still combined them with adjacent locs and didn't tell me. I don't have a lot of locs on to so I was really upset. I should've paid more attn bc she had combined 2 locs b4 and didn't tell me😠 So right now I doing self reties 😂. Anyway I LOVVVE the color of your locs, Your hair looks amazing!!! Go with your gut on picking your next coloring bc you're doing a good job. Take care sis!!!

Hi Ashley, I’ve been locked for well. It will be three years next month October 5 2021 each month or every three months it starts looking better and better but at one point I go did I do the right thing. It will look crazy every now and then but it’s looking better. I’m starting to love it. I will begin the trim in a couple of weeks with my retired hope you’re feeling better. Good luck your hair looks gorgeous.

They look great Ash! I purchased the wrap a locs for my Sisterlocks and I have the same fine thin soft hair... and my curls look great when using them. I just need to perfect the installation process. I think they will look great on you too! I pray that your health improves and you regain all your strength. Be blessed!

Dr. Ash I love ❤️ your Sisterlocs update videos. I quickly hit click when I see your videos alerts. I’ve watched your SL updates since the beginning of your journey in 2020. I will be celebrating my 4yr Sisterloc anniversary on Nov 1st. I also have very thin fine low density locs. My locs are finally thickening up still scalpy with fresh Retie. I also had a loc trim in May and I agree my locs look better. I look forward to viewing your 5yr loc update. Take care

I have the RevAir blow dryer. I bought it refurbished off their website for half off years ago. I use it all the time to dry my box braids. I love that dryer. I'm still considering locs. I'm very into low maintainence styles but I dont know if I want it to be locs. So far its been a tapered fro. wigs and box braids. I know sister locs will still give me the versatility I desire while still having a good default style. I think im hesitant on learning how to lock sister locs.
