Thank you for your work, AI generated Warhammer looks unusual, but great! Can you make Mechanicus next? I suppose Skitarii, forgeworld, Titans or something else about them would look epic in such style! :)
@@SpiceMarine2.0 Thanks so much! It's definitely not perfectly accurate to 40k, but I did my best to capture the vibe. As the tools get better I'll be able to get closer :) Great suggestions on the Mechanicus. I need to learn about the Skitarii and forgeworld Titans! Time to listen to some lore! :D
Loved this. Have you ever considered my a some tutorials on how you get the shots? I use Runway / Midjourney, etc., but get nowhere near the results you do. I'm curious what techniques you use for big crowd shots. Anyway, thanks for the film -- it looks like a lot of work!
@@shadowsensei9040 Literally every other faction besides the Space Marines. They're cool and all, but a change of scenery would be nice. I want to see how Skiitari fights wars, what weird weapons the Mechanicus employs, all their combat-servitors. And, of course, I want to see the Adepta Sororitas in action at their full zealous glory.
What we really needed is for 2+ years ago that GW’s legal team to NOT ATTACK FAN CREATORS! For goodness sake. We would probably have fan creations of everything by now. But yes, I agree less focus on Space Marines please. Spend more time with others. That way everyone understands A) space marines are relatively few in number and cannot be at every conflict B) shows the power disparity between a standard human/sister of battle in armor/space marine/custodes. And show psykers too! And of course Mechanicus. Imperium could not be around without them
It's completely unreal how insanely fast generative AI is developing. The level of detail and the fidelity of its picture, even with the usual AI hiccups, is so unbelievable.
To quote one of my Player Characters from a wrold two months into an Imperial Subject and still innocent in many ways: "Ninja nuns armed to the scalp!"
@@jonanderson328 Indeed. I know one has neither to do with the other. Just expressing my thoughts. Wouldn't that make a kind of weird sense, though? An AI being the mother of all rebellious AIs that would bring Humanity to its knees?
Amazing concept art and visuals Honestly felt like I was watching a movie preview which I’m bummed there isn’t more… yet… more, please more. Just awesome.
I'm honestly impressed with the level of detail you were able to achieve with AI tools, it went much further than I was expecting. At the same time, I'm disappointed it's AI generated because the complete lack of recognizable iconography and symbology stands out to me and is hard to miss as a dedicated fan of 40k. This animation is an excellent proof of concept though and I would love to see it and it's story expanded upon, perhaps remastered with the aid of other animators or remade in blender? Might be a vain wish with how Games Workshop responded to fan creation and animation, though.
It's impressive for sure, but as you say lacks key 40k design elements. It also hampered by the dreamlike hallucinogenic feel that ai animation has. But also : this is the worst ai animation will ever be.
Yah, we're not quite there yet to get the specific iconography yet. But as @leahbonser said, this is only going to get better. 2 months ago, it barely worked. I really see 2024 as a breakout year for AI filmmaking, we just need the next generation models. Trust me, I'd love to get more accurate details, and will strive to incorporate those in the future once the tools allow :)
As cool as this idea is, AI film making will only go as far as fan made projects for the forseable future. Thats what the 2 major stikes were about for actors and writers, ai might find a home filling cgi gaps in projects but full scale projects will not be "allowd" to be created by the studios in the current basic agreement @bstuartTI
@@bstuartTI you say the story is about a Sister of Battle but you dont know how they look apparently?, there are hundreds of people who make cosplay outfits of Sisters of Battle, they arn't hard to find photos of... One OBVIOUS thing you completely missed is the power-pack backback that powers the POWER ARMOR, she is supposed to wear...
In darkness, I shall be light. In times of doubt, I shall keep faith. In throes of rage I shall hone my craft. In vengeance, I shall have no mercy. In the midst of battle, I shall have no fear. In the face of death, I shall have no remorse.
@@Freakmaster-yg8siagreed. Art is meant to connect human souls to one another, AI cannot do that. If we allow it to replace artists then it will truly be abominable intelligence, as the Imperium decrees.
Amazon: Sisters of Battle aren't badass enough! Everyone else: **facepalm** Void Captain: Just drop the auto-temple (church!) right on top of the heretics HQ. Deploy!
@@ZayOne15 Oh please! GW has tons of talented artists, their own *dedicated* Warhammer channel and years gone by and I'm still waiting for that 'love' to show itself. If we're just supposed to wait for the Amazon show with HC that's a sad sad statement considering *ALL* the other talented artists who have shown amazing dedication and talent beyond whatever GW has put out. Or did you forget all the great warhammer videos GW forced off of YT because of "copyright infringement"? And you're saying we can't judge GW now? Just my opinion, ya know?
In the Caiaphas Cain books, at one point he is reminiscing about life in the Commissar schola. He mentions they would play against the other scolae on a scrumball pitch. Whatever scrumball is, I'm guessing something like soccer. He said playing against the Sororitas, they didn't seem to think the idea was to score points, but rather send their opponents to the hospital, as many as possible.
@Extra-galactic-loremaster storyboarding is a trade job. If the attitude is that people need to find work that cannot be affected by AI, I have bad news for you.
Beautiful work by Brett Stuart! @bstuartTI You don't get cinematic imagery like this by just banging out a simple prompt on the keyboard. Well done, Brett!
Ai Art at this point in its development, reminds me a lot of early computer graphics in the pre 64 bit eras when your imagination actually had to act as a bridge between the art on a video game box and what was on screen. Now your imagination's smoothing over the artifacting and accounting for the inaccuracies in the details. It'll be sad and scary when they clear this hump.
Fantastic! Hollywood needs to watch tf out, AI bringing art and film to the hands of the people. It's not perfect yet, but if you compare this to when it began and how things looked not that long ago... this is really impressive. Thank you for your time and effort, and showing some love for the Adepta Sororitas. As far as who I'd like to see featured next... I admit it, I'm a heretic for Eldar. Some amazing psychic abilities of a farseer, some Howling Banshees running screaming into battle. Reminds me of those old Dawn of War cinematics. It'd probably need a lora with all their custom armor styles though, or something. But at least prompting for sci-fi elves would be easy!
As a flesh tearer's player, my favorite enemy are the adepta sororitas and this video really portraits all theirs beauty, strength and zealousy for the Emperor, the Mnistrorum and the Imperial faith. Very good work!❤
More character development and story for this Sister of Battle in this clip than Rey in Star Wars. And she has had a trilogy of films. This video is captivating.
"Who is this youngling who stands and stares with such disrespect!" "Sire...she is the vision of your soothsayers. The portent of your doom should you strike her." "This child.THIS CHILD? I shall ki..."
Aside from the usual scuffed nature of AI generative art, this was pretty cool. I've always found machine learning to be quite good at generating the most bizarre shit, and Warhammer lends itself to that. Not bad, for what it is.
Excellent! This would be an amazing series to watch. The lives of the three characters as they go from youth aspirants to full fledged battle sisters and then specializations.
Adeptus Maternalis, aka the Mothers of Battle. The Adeptus Astartes call Him "EMPEROR". The Adeptus Mechanicus call Him "OMNISSIAH". The Adeptus Maternalis call Him "MONTESSORI"
Damn, I just finished a Dark Heresy campaign last week where I played a Sister of Battle, reminds me of this one. Tiny little thing that was a BEAST in melee combat, standing up to Orks, Mutants, and Demons and tearing them limb from limb.
@@greghannibal*Love* me some DH2e. One of my last characters was a Sister of Battle initiate who had a psyker awakening very young, was unable to complete her rise into the ranks of fully fledged Sororitas, and who subsequently got recruited by the Inquisition (thus joining the party). I wrote a suitably grimdark short story/backstory for her if you want to read it. I'll leave ya a few little snippets below. This is the story of Sister Eleanor Parzival, Clairvoyant Agent of Interrogator Agrippa's Alpha Cell. - "The Emperor Protects. The Sororitas Serve. The Heretic is Purged. And The Seer, Sees all." - "... But yet more sensation pressing on the edges of my periphery.. and strange. A coolness to the air, a non-existent but ethereally present taste of iron on my tongue, not that I knew then what I know now, for a child knoweth not the taste of spilled blood, nor the icy pregnant malice of death in the air.." - "As I was carried easily back to my chambers in the strong, protective arms of my father, without warning came the undulating trill of a siren. Emergency lighting bathed the interior in a red glow and the quiet electric hum of the Gellar Field Generator, barely audible to many over the sonorous rumble of the ship's engines, sputtered and fell silent. But it was audible to me, even if I didn't know what it was. As I said before, I have always been perceptive. All I knew in those days was that it was important, one of the many rooms in the ship I was never allowed to go near. And now it wasn't working." - "Over the wheeling peal of the alarm to me came a few moments of deathly, voidian silence. It was then that the dream tore from my mind's eye into existence and my nightmares became real. I felt a lance of agony impale itself through the centre of my mind, and the eruption of dinner flushing forcibly through my oesophagus, bathing my father's shoulder with synth-proteins and bile as my gurgle turned into a scream. Wracked with spasmic shuddering, my eyes wept tears, then blood, as I screamed myself hoarse into his neck from the incomprehensible pain in my head." - "That's when I saw the arrival of the unseen horrors that had haunted my days, terrorised my nights, and were now causing the sky of my whole world to fall and bury me." - "What a weak, petrified, pathetic little girl I was that I selfishly cloyed for my father in those moments, in denial of his duty and honour, but I did not understand then what I know now." - "... "The Emperor Protects. The Sororitas Serve. The Heretic is Purged. And The Seer, Sees all." That is my gift and my curse. The unease in my stomach, the taste of blood not yet boiling in the air, the scent of wine and perfume across a hallway through two bulkheads, and the touch of my mind on the fringes of reality hearing whispers of things that have happened, or are yet to be. To be assailed by such knowledge is to be Eleanor Parzival. And in those early years I did not understand it, could not control it, and could not shut it away. I did not read the warp, or engage with it. The portents of the warp happened -to- me."
I have shown this video to people who have no idea about the 40K universe and they still found it to be absolutely engaging. This is a well done piece of work. You have done a fine job of imagery combined with a very well chosen soundtrack and bit of dialogue.
“We must not falter. We are His sword. We are His wrath. Even in the face of death, we shall not submit. Suffering is our prayer. Faith is our armor. In battle, He offers us redemption.”
This is awesome, The images generated throughout are so well done, and so evocative that even with no connection to 40k I would still be immensely interested in the setting. On top of that, even without actively showing much in the way of 40k iconography its source material and goal is obvious. I'm not a fan of AI, but this is really impressive. I think the vision sequence, and the roiling clouds in particular are captured fantastically. The sortof inherently unstable texture of the AI images work fantastically for something ethereal or imagined. Beautiful work.
Watching this made my day better. Thank you so much. You should continue the Sisters story. There are so many astartes Stories. This deserves more attention. it is honestly amazing
Im starting to believe that maybe it has never truly been possible before to make warhammer 40k until AI came along. The ability of AI to make things haunting is actually terrifying in itself. Great work putting this all together.
Thanks! The Astartes video is what inspired me to learn more about the 40K universe :) It's such a great short film. One day I hope to make something close to as good ^^
at first i was put off and bored by the a.i. art but you successfully turned it into a really compelling story and i found myself fully captivated by the end...well done.
AI can make some spectacular background, but human faces look so similar. No offence, but people comparing this to Astartes makes me feel sick. Clearly some work went into this, but it diminishes the insane quality and amount of work the Astartes guy did for his animations. This ultimately has an empty soul.
Astartes is a brilliant film and I personally wouldn't directly compare what I created here with it. However, what I think people might be referencing when they mention Astartes, is how the visuals, music and pacing made them feel - they aren't referencing the medium in a 1x1 comparison. Many people find some AI creations to be "full of soul," myself included (I definitely poured mine into this piece... about 60 hours worth hehe). But everyone is entitled to enjoy the kind of content they're like, and there's nothing wrong with not liking this.
@@bstuartTI fair point about Astartes. And yeah, I appreciate that a lot of people like it, and that in creations like this, there is still a lot of work that goes into it. Its just that whenever I see AI I cant shake this feeling that it isnt right, as if it is taking away from other artists somehow. Ive been feeling that a lot, but havent quite managed to put it into words properly yet. But ultimately, if people enjoy it, you enjoy it, then its a good thing, I think?
I may not play 40K anymore, but this was badass! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Great work! If they ever did make this into a feature film, I'd be camping out to buy the first ticket. They just better have a damn good script and not just wow everyone with the visuals. We don't need another hyped up Rebel Moon. 😆 😆 🤣 😂
Fan of Warhanmer for twenty years, such life brought to a universe of damnation almost seems blasphemous to the Inquisition. But I still want more. Bravo keep up the great work.
I don't care what people say about AI art having no soul or what ever... This was amazing and gave me chills. Great job m8 you nailed the atmosphere too!
generative AI has a real transmorphic, dreamlike quality to it. In some ways I like it better then CGI or other art forms. But it's also hard to focus on the whole when you notice pieces melting. There's also the concept that using AI is likely going to cripple the profitability or employment options of other art forms. But this is sorta like pandora's box after its been opened. Also it's the expected path of development looking at the history of technology.
It's kinda insane that AI is able to showcase the Sisters belief in the battle in a understandable way. I have never before seen that "Divinity of crusade" portrayed via the characters impressions. Even GW gave the Sister in Nexus Pariah a shellshock and doubt she had to overcome but here she radiates that "I will purge you, by it's the Emperor's will!"- energy and devotion. That religious psychopathy Sisters of Battle are.
What about John Connor’s T800? Robocop? Johnny #5? We don’t actually live in a dark grim universe to have fear of technology. Fear the masses who follow political leaders. The Butlerian Jihad is sci-fi dude.
Awesome! Just from the imagery alone this is better than most trailers out there. If this were a trailer for an actual upcoming 40k film I'd be beside myself right now. Only disappointment is we didn't get to see anything of the Eldar, Tau or other xenos races. How long till AI can make us a full-length 40k feature film?
Thank you for creating an instant masterpiece! The visuals are stunning and guide a story that the audience creates in their mind, as a great novel does with description. I can’t wait to see more and witness the progression of both your artistry and the AI tools. Such an exciting time to create! As for next, perhaps Chaos, but in all honesty you can’t go wrong with any faction. It is such a treat to see any of the 40k universe brought to life. Welcome to the 40K community, and once again thank you! May the Emperor's light guide you.
I appreciate the kind words, TY! I'm really glad my effort to create this visual sequence resonated. More to come soon :) I'm combing through various ideas and putting together a storyboard now for my next short. 2024 is going to be a really fun year indeed, especially as the tools improve and I can begin integrating more body mechanics/locomotion and acting sequences. Fun times ahead, thanks again!
This motion action capability is advancing with dizzying speed. I recall seeing the Harry Spotter gym freak videos mid last year, and those were simply moving the heads (awkwardly) and lips to match the speech. These vignettes are indistinguishable from movie clips. Absolutely breathtaking, stunningly beautiful visuals! The tiny details will catch up in time.
absolut fantastic !!! that should be a trailer for a movie the art is beautiful the music makes it quit epic so you can feel the world with all it's beauti and horror How long did you work on it ?
Interesting. I'm generally no fan of AI art, but you've really done a nice job in showing the use of AI for getting a broad story concept across ( like for a film pitch ). And while there are slight deviations from the established look, you only have to look at the art of GW artists like John Blanche to see how the imagination of an artist can take liberties while retaining the spirit. Did you also do the music or was that someone else ? it was effective.
Yah it’s definitely not perfect, I just was trying to capture the 40k vibe as best I could through my interpretation and within the tools limitations. Thanks. The music is a great composer from artlist which I remixed down to fit the video. I really wanted a song that also had its own ‘story’ to it, and fell in love when I heard this one. It required a bit of cutting down to work, but I do think k it helped a lot with the overall presentation.
Very impressive, I only hope that the future TV serial will be at this level. The demons are really great, and the details either for humans & armours are fantastic.
I would love the learn more about the prompt the author has been using - It's super consistent - each other picture maintains the same style. Absolutely great!
Same empty, tasteless imagery as Rebel Moon. People who have only a very vague idea of the style of 40K making bland shit for others like them to capitalize on its recent popularity.
@@lowruna There's nothing "great" here. There's no focus, no point, no story, no central theme, no nothing. It's like it was made by a robot Zack Snyder.
