Umm, the one on the right...her last name is Lightfoot. Her biological father is Phil.(also musical director and Kathy's husband)You're right, she is the daughter, but she is not a Sledge. There are two groups touring...and is not the original group. Joni Sledge (original member) had the other group.
If you knew her mother Flo Sledge, you'd know it was for 'all' of them. Listen to the lyrics. One of the background singers is Kathy's daughter, but her last name is Lightfoot, like her dad Phil.
Don't think the sisters will perform together again. Not really sure what went down, but there were TWO groups performing as Sister Sledge. And Kathy was sued by her sisters! It's hard getting over lawsuits.
No, but it is Kathy singing HER song..... I suspect it's the TV show billing Kathy and the 2 other girls as Sister Sledge and it's certainly no worse Debbie than the clip here on youtube of you miming to Joni's lead on Lost In Music. That is truly shameful. At least here Kathy is singing live, attempting to speak French AND showing that her voice is utterly undimmed since she sang lead on WAF way back in 1979.
