So glad you mentioned you have holes in your locs. As I was watching I was thinking her hair is so pretty and here I am with holes in some of my locs. I recently just noticed them and was feeling down about it and how to get them repaired. Now I don’t feel so bad about them lol. I’m 3 years into my sisterlock journey too.
Hey girl!!! Thank you so much for watching. Yassss girl those holes irk my nerves! I’ve tried to get them prepared from multiple sisterlockticians and they could only fix the holes that were closer to the root but not further down. I guess I’ll have to just wait until my hair grows out. I felt the same way as you at first but I’ve learned to just accept them the way they are and to remember the reason I got them in the first place, which was for the hair freedom.
Love this video. I’ve been locked 2 years now and just had one of my locks break off around my perimeter. I was so discouraged at first because my hair grows so very slow. It’s barely longer than it was when I started, but I’m trusting the process. Thanks for sharing your sisterlock pros/cons. It’s still the best decision ever.
Tasha, thanks for the answer that you gave most of them were to my question….I’m happy that your pros were more than your cons….I’m new .. and I love my locks.
I have been locked for two years and it was the greatest decision ever for me. This is the longest my hair has ever been and I always look “done!” Where did you get your bonnet from? It’s gorgeous!
Can micro loc's be trimmed to be neet and even when worn strait? I don't like the unevenends. I am planning to get DIY Loc's myself. I hope to find away to keep the ends trimmed.
I believe so, however, I wouldn't recommend doing it until your locs are fully locd, and your ends are locd. Because if you cut your ends prematurely, it can cause your hair to take a lot longer for the loc process to happen. Hope that helps
For sisterlocks, I'd recommend finding a sisterlocktician/sisterlock consultant who can install them for you. You can find one on the website at www.sisterlocks.com. Otherwise, you could install micro locks yourself and can find a tool on Amazon. Look on RU-vid for micro lock tool recommendations, there's a ton of ladies out there who do them themselves.
