Sisterly Squabble Almost Ruins Bride’s Appointment | Say Yes To The Dress UK 

I am soooo tired of them putting brides in dresses that are over their budget. They should disclose the price to the bride before they put it on.

I think it's really disrespectful of the consultant to blindside the bride with a dress that's overbudget. I think that should be a discussion in the dressing room after they've tried a few dresses in her budget, but the consultant thinks a few hundred bucks more will get the bride what she wants. The bride should be able to make the choice whether or not to try it on. Too many times we see the bride close to tears after she finds THE dress but then finds out it's out of reach pricewise. I seriously wonder how many times the bride said yes to the dress for the cameras and then said 'no, I can't afford it' once the cameras go away.

600 quid over budget, plus addition of sleeves and alterations, with no warning to the bride before they put her in it. This store is so egregious at disrespecting budgets, I only hope the brides know this and go in with an extra £1000 up their sleeve. I would never shop there. Bride looked beautiful though, but she could honestly pull off a bin bag

She could easily found an equally suitable dress that she loved within her budget. If I owned a wedding dress store I would guarantee that no dress over the stated budget would be suggested. Also, I would disclose possible veil and alteration costs to get the stated budget clarified. This shop is one of the worst of the wedding dress shows at going over.

Why bother with a budget then? She does look gorgeous, but I'm betting there's something in that shop equally as perfect without exceeding budget.

Makes me sick when they put them in dresses above their budget and don't even tell them before they get all excited about the dress.

Literally so unnecessary to go over budget and then money to add a sleeve, there would’ve been so many beautiful dropped waist gowns in that shop but all they care about is the money

YEAHHHH dropped waist saves the day again!! the first dress was really breathtaking, the second one was just meh. third dress absolutely nailed it, especially with the added sleeve bits, just wish they could have STAYED UNDER BUDGET or at least the entourage could have chipped in to make up the difference.

I guess if she’s the one paying for the dress, then going over the budget is okay. However, it’s not just 700 pds over, she’s not figuring taxes and alterations. Uh oh!

Okay, those strips of fabric drooping over the upper arms are NOT straps! They hold nothing up and they don't cover the area that the bride indicated made her feel uncomfortable being open. I don't see them doing anything except getting in the way of the bride having freedom to move her arm out/up. I've never like them on pretty much any dress!

I like it when they also show the bride in her traditional dress.

To me it seems to be so unfair to dress her up in a piece which is 500 above her limit, i don't like such actions

I live the dress on her but it's, 2600 plus probably another 200-400 more for alterations. With taxes, now she $1000 over her budget. It's just wrong to do that to her.

I'm tired of all the say yes episodes going over budget. I was thinking of taking my daughter to klinfelds in New York city USA 🇺🇸 for her dress. I don't think so any longer. I don't care who is paying for the dress, it's downright bad business practices to continually do this. What a realm of emotions and financial struggles they put on the brides.
