Absolutely correct . a long dress for a wedding of your own daughter . trying to outshine the bride . and looking like tarts showing off the breast outline , how common is that . No British mother of the Bride would show off her cleavage . so humiliating . My only daughter< Plus three sons. got married and I wore a pure silk dress with a very elegant jacket and hat and shoes to match . The front of the dress was ever so slightly low , but the owners of the Bridal shop found the same coloured lace as the bodice and pinned it in whilst I was trying it on , The outfit was so elegant and just below the knee . and their seamstress sewed the lace onto the dress whilst I waited for no extra charge . As a retired Nurse the only dress I had ever worn since childhood was my Nurses uniform . However this was my daughters day and I had saved nearly 7 thousand pounds for her dress from the age she was 10 . I wanted her to have the wedding I never had . My parents were to poor and I would never have expected them to be out of pocket on my account . My beautiful daughter looked magnificent and she chose a Caroline Castigliano gown for 4,000 thousand pounds and the veil was 800 pounds . Her wedding day meant everything to me, her father and three brothers She was married in a French Chateau as her husband was French Canadian . The point of this missive is to say , a mother or any lady like person there never ever outshines the bride . or shows off there breasts or breast line .many of these women on this programme think the wedding is ALL ABOUT THEM AND NOT THEIR PRECIOUS daughter . The people selling the wedding attire need some kind of re training , What a dreadful place to have to go to ,to buy wedding attire , many outfits so dated and hats for a wedding is a must

I thought it was wrong that kept bringing out one shoulder dresses when that was one request that the bride made. Seeing that they have so many dresses in their shop I am sure they could have found a lot of dresses that didn't have one strap and within budget. If I was at that wedding I would have thought that the mother was trying to complete with the bride.
