This week I'm working with Austin Kravitz of Auburn, Massachusetts. This is Austins 3rd lesson, and he's really starting to become an efficient rider! We continue to work on the proper seated position, upper body stability, dynamic upper body movement on the bike, and more!

That's crazy how as soon as the rider apply Coach James technique you see the improvement instant. Coach James the man; if he can't do it no one can 💪

I roll with the levers pretty low like he did before you changed it. makes it a more natrual flow from the elbow and dosent twist the nervs and tendens in the wrist and arm. keep them low, look at eli tomacs bike when he stands on the starting line, those levers are looooowww

That's totally fine to attempt to do it his way, as there are always exceptions to rules and Eli is amazing! For the future when you start to use the proper re-grip technique in corners, you will end up being very inconsistent with your throttle side elbow, because you will be unable to use the lever as a guide. Also, in the seated position, you will find that you have to rotate both hands downwards which is extremely uncomfortable while trying to drag the front brake, and accelerate. Most importantly, in the attack position My hands are just about parallel to the ground while decelerating, which allows me to rely on the fatty part of my hands to help regulate some of the force pulling me forward while braking. I do most of that with my lower body, but the upper body is still important, as I still have to get nice and low to the bike. If my hands were rotated downwards they would simply just be unable to do that while being in the proper position.
