Today we got our site all prepared for the new building and got some seat time in with the John Deere 650k Link To Matteson Heavy Equipment for Equipment rentals, sales and excavation work www.mattesonheavyequipment.com
Pond didn’t look good in the early view. Then the comment about the clay and issues with the pond. Hope this comment is wrong and it’s filled up for a great summer. If not, then we’re in for more videos…
Adam, it's not to often that the owner of a company will come out and show you how to run a piece of equipment! Sounds like a good company and group of guys there. Looks good just hope it didn't take away from the breast of the pond to much. Looks like part of the drain pipe laying there. As always enjoy watching!
Great episode, looks like you accomplished every kids dream of the Tonya Dozer Bucket List and a whole lot more. The comparison of Dozing and Accounting is an Excellent on how two completely different jobs can be relatable with transferable skills. The efforts of harvesting Contacts/Customer with skills and with the boots on the ground knowledge being passed along with the support of a local business is what the Bedrock of what Top Shelf Grassroots Economies are Based on. His Equipment Business is probably successful and changing more than the skills of their Customers/Operator’s lives. 🤩👍👍👍
Double knees!!!! I wish you well Diane!!! Just take it one day at a time! He has been so busy here and it’s been harder for Adam to get videos out. We did a big project yesterday at our lake Airbnb. Video will be out as soon as he can get all the footage edited. It seems like every day is so full. The first week is the toughest with those knees. I will say some prayers for you…. 😊
@AdamsMom921 Thank you for your prayers, Adam's Mom!! My first hubby, my sister and I were in a wreck in 1978 (not our fault). My hubby died instantly, & my sister & I were not expected to live through the night. My knees took the hit that broke both femurs. The doctors said I'd never walk again. My sister had horrible internal injuries. Long testimony short, God saved our lives & healed us both. My knees have worn out, so time for new ones. My doctor is amazing - the best!! So, I'm grateful to be at this point! I'm sooooo excited y'all have an Airbnb video coming. Adam is amazing. We love him & his videos & are so happy his channel is growing!! God bless y'all in all-ways!! Thanks again for praying. My hubby is taking great care of me, & our kiddos & friends are feeding us well - so blessed. I've already come a long way from Tuesday!! It's an Only God Thing!! 🥰🙏🙌🙏
@donCesc19 That was my effort to get Adam to give us more videos!! I love Adam & his family & love their videos. It's not really dirt work. 😉 I truly appreciate the suggestion, though, & I'll check out Dirt Perfect. Thank you!! God bless you and your family! ♥️🙏👍
@@DDL2728 No problem man, every channel i watch, including this, has something to offer. Something to appeal more than other. Can't wait for more LS videos here. Mike on DP has so many amazing videos and he's like Adam, you just can't dislike them both :D
GOOOOOOOD MORNING EVERYONE from Paducah, KY…been out here doing my side hustle…hoping to be home tonight in Virginia Beach…finally finished watching. Very informative. Well I’m your way now. Looking forward to watching through the completion. Have a day
very interesting, I knew you did NOT want topsoil under construction, but I never have had the explanation of WHY !!! very good info on dozing, also !!!!
It would be interesting to see an overhead layout of where the building is located in relation to the house, the main driveway, the woodyard and the other shed.
Check out the cat performance handbook on production rates. There’s a lot of useful information. Don’t look at the blade when running the machine, look out in front of you to see the high and low spots so that you can adjust your blade before getting to them.
Just curious, will the proximity to the dam effect your insurance costs for the building? Specifically, will your insurance carrier require federal flood insurance before they write "all hazards" insurance?
The overflow area was cut in originally at the top side of the pond ….and the new topsoil area (which he plans to seed) is the large swale to divert water past the logging area. Hopefully he will have a pond update soon for viewers. Too many projects in the works!
Your biggest issue will be the settlement you will see in the building pad over time….. three things were done wrong…. An LGP dozer will not properly compact dirt… is a Low Ground Pressure machine. You needed a small sheep’s foot roller to properly compact the cut material. The fill was placed in one deep lift and won’t properly compact. Structural fill should always be place and compacted in 8” - 10” lifts. And lastly if your cut material is not at the correct moisture content when placed the material will not properly compact……. Considering how the material was placed I would certainly not build anything on the pad for at least 6-8 months. You didn’t tell us how many hours it took to run the dozer to accomplish the work that was done. Not trying to be negative at all with my comments just 100% truthful and to give you a chance to let the pad settle/set up as much as it can considering is was built with no quality control at all and in one deep lift without any proper compaction equipment.
Of my friends that have blue-collar jobs use the math they learned in school. All my friends that have white collar jobs don’t. It’s pretty interesting.
