Sitges is a beautiful coastal town 35 kilometres southwest of Barcelona, in Catalonia, renowned worldwide for its Film Festival and Carnival.
Located close to the Garraf Massif, it is known for its beaches, thriving gay community, nightspots, and historical sites.
The town became a centre for the 1960s counterculture in mainland Spain and became known as "Ibiza in miniature".
Almost 35% of the approximately 26,000 permanent inhabitants are from the Netherlands, the UK, France and Scandinavia, whose children attend international schools in the area. There are 17 beaches and Sitges has been referred to as the Saint-Tropez of Spain, with property prices approaching those of the most expensive European cities, due to the coastal setting and the surrounding Parc Natural del Garraf. It also has close Proximity to Barcelona-El Prat Airport.

Voramar 2:00 is indeed the oldest pub in Sitges. my mom ( rest in peace) used to sing there in the late 70's. Rum BACARDI is originally from Sitges, and PICASSO lived there 6:40 some time while he was learning from Master Ramon Casas. Parrots 23:00 is probably the most Legendary LGBTQ Bar in the Country. and Tito's 23:40 is the Pub where My parents knew each other in 1980. Consequently I was Born!

what a stunning walking tour of Sitges, Spain! It's amazing to see the beautiful beaches and historical sites in this charming coastal town. wow omg so many memories here in good old sitges. i first came here over 15 years ago . i loved every min , the shops food places are fantastic . i love spain , if i had the money id come live here 100%, its so easy to get around , and find your way around sitges

Great beach in Sitges, I went there a few years ago. Lovely sea front. Looks very quiet in the 'off' season. By the way, Bacardi Rum originates from Cuba - the Bacardi family may have originally come from Sitges though. Nice vid. New friend in The New Forest. Best wishes, Rob

There used to be three restaurants on the beachfront called Nina, Pinta, and St. Maria. Are they still there? There was a lovely French restaurant with an outdoor courtyard down a side street. I wonder if that is still there, too?

I think the centre hasn't changed so much, but if you see photos of the lido area from the past, they're just full of banana plantations, and the occasional hotel - pretty amazing
