I used to live in Dallas and now I live in DC. When I came back to Dallas to look at places I didn’t realize how much I valued being able to just walk out of my door and get coffee, go to the post office, grab lunch, etc. It’s something you don’t think about until you experience it. Some of the apartments I saw didn’t even have sidewalks or gates to the neighborhoods sidewalks. You’d have to walk all the way around the apartment complex and go through the car gate just to take a walk in the neighborhood. Plus the fees! A lot of places had mandatory media packages, valet trash, pest control and a community fee, so I feel you.
