I have software that detects characteristic events in radon decay chain that gives an estimate of radon concentration in real time. It’s not accurate but might not be much worse than recording alpha particle decay from radOn over 3 months. Not paying for a test that takes 3 months. Also you could monitor individuals in the home as well if they consent to it.
