This Howard is everything!! I’m loving her! The way she portrays her, her hair, her voice, it’s amazing! And this Boleyn is adorable! Her voice is so cute💕
The new Boleyn is just super adorable - like her smile and bounce and stuff just makes me love her and the fact that I don’t see many comments about her right now makes me sad :(
Agreed! You can see the look on Her face, even though she's suppose to be serious when The Other Queens Sing, A Goofy Smile Manages to make it's way to Her lips.. Her Personality is Perfect! It's just like Millie/The old Boleyn, not only that She's very Bouncy and Lively uwuwuwuwu
Love seeing the Broadway cast's fresh takes on their queens! I was worried they'd try to be cookie cutters of the West End cast but it's really cool to see each actor's personality come through:')
@@AaronWachs I think Six has a better shot at the Tony than JLP tbh. JLP got some mixed reviews and Six is one of the few shows this season with an original score which tony voters tend to prefer. The frontrunners are Six, Moulin Rouge, and Girl From the North Country which got great reviews off broadway. And then there is the complete wildcard that is Flying Over Sunset which could come in a sweep the awards if it is good. Moulin Rouge will likely get a lot of the set/costumes/tech awards
@@natalieoldham9036 and they clearly have the OBC vocals in the Broadway commercials instead of the cast recording ones, so they clearly have their own recordings, WE'RE JUST WAITING FOR THE RELEASE
This cast is talented and I really love how they all have their own personalities, not just copying off the original cast. They do look a little bit nervous and lacks chemistry though but I believe that they will improve in the future
This is good. Like, really really good. I love their interpretations of all of the queens and how they’re NOT like the west end cast. It would be boring if it was just the same thing copied over. But they all have so much energy and look like they’re having so much fun! Lowkey want a cast recording like, now lmao
Tbh I'm a touch salty that they didn't do the British accents, as most big musicals require American accents, so we have to learn yours to be true to it XD Plus this is like.. the most British play, you can't pretend it isn't
Reebow Amethyst THANK YOU! I was discussing this with my friend (who was lucky enough to see it when she was in the UK) and we both were like, “Uh, okay so ‘their stories are universal’ but 1. How many women can say they were with a man with this many spouses/exes and 2. We don’t have/never had a monarchy in the US...” and there’s so many “British-sms” in this show, like the use of the word “fit” or “fitter” is uniquely British and isn’t used at all in the same way in American vernacular. And I love this Anna of Cleves, but part of the brilliance of her song “Get Down” is her unapologetically sassy English rhyme “I’m the queen of the castle, get down you dirty rascal...” which is just SO British and loses some of its pow without the accent, imo...
beingbeckeroni I totally agree with this! It’s irritating that the accents can’t be right and I wish they’d said “castle” and “rascal” different because that part is meant to be like overly British sounding. But I feel like it would annoy more people if they faked bad accents. Like in the west end Heathers faked American accents and some were good but some were just annoying
actually I disagree. I literally hate hearing fake british accents on broadway - you can barely understand them when they sing. I think the Chicago run tried it when it started and the reviews ripped them apart.
@@MaddDog16 Yeah, but us brits have to put in the effort to have to learn to do proper American accents, I don't see why they shouldn't put in the work to do it the other way, not like it's an impossible accent to learn
@@ReebowAmethyst just read more about it. The original creators of the show (you know, the british ones) said they didnt want the broadway cast to even attempt it, though the cast wanted to try
Maybe I'm biased because I'm American (and a New Yorker at that) but these Queens are amazing, especially Cleves'. Then again Cleves' has always been my favorite Queen
Howard is really good, defiently one if my favorites in this group (Cleves and Parr are also in there) Also she sort of sounds like the one in the official audio
I actually watched this version first (not the Broadway con performance, but this cast), and absolutely fell in love with them. The chemistry, the vocals, the energy, all of it! I only recently found the original cast, and they're AMAZING, but these guys will always have a special place in my heart.
Related to? I'm not quite sure what you mean. Related as in she's relatable, or actually blood related? And do you mean related to Abby Mueller or related to Jane Seymour? Sorry, just didn't understand.
The captions are killing me- "We're one, alive, no death, glory Wait two minutes, might finish the story Then three to get our crowning glory" that's only one part lmao
Oh! Cause I was wondering, in other shows swings/ alternates/ u/s usually have the same costume. They’re still just as good! The regular costume must be really expensive to make, cause it’s so cool!
The alternate for Aragon is also the alternate for Parr, and so I guess her costume had to work for Aragon AND Parr, while not looking identical to either of them.
Look at them living it up on Broadway!! So proud of where this show has gone. Loved seeing this cast in Edmonton and so greatful for all of them❤️❤️ have some amazing shows girls!!
2:11 you all giving her crap for how she sounded bad tbh I agree she could’ve executed the way she said beheaded parts better but listen to this part! She sounds amazing!
..Is it just me- The New K. Howard reminds me of Ariana Grande- Either way, the New casts are Amazing! It feels like listening the Old Casts, brings tears to My eyes.. ^^
