In this video I give a size comparison between the MT410 and three other RC. Two of them are Tekno SCT410.3 and one is a Traxxas Revo 3.3. I place them side-by-side and talk about some of the suspension differences. I did not have an E-Revo at the time, but the suspension systems of the Revos are similar.

Thanks for the video. I am considering the MT410 as my next rc vehicle. I have a sct410 now and really did not realize how much larger the MT410 was until I watched your video.

You are welcome. You will enjoy it. The suspension and and tires make is massive. But it keeps the same short wheelbase which makes it so oh so nimble in the air.

Thicc arms. I have both mt410 and sct410.3 both very very nice truck. The mt410 has the act chassis with the truggy front and rear end.

Do you have a preference when it comes to the two depending on bashing or racing conditions?

@@telecomandorc I bought the MT410 first, so that is my go to truck. I always wanted an arrma outcast, but I just saved up more to get the tekno instead :D. I love monster trucks. it's ace in the air at the skate park and on any jumps. Just love the short wheel base and massive power for flips. The sct410.3 was much later as I never really liked sct until some guy at the park let me drive his senton 6S. That was actually pretty fun, but it was also discontinued :(. So again I went with the tekno, but this time I picked up a half finished new kit for £128 which was a steal! I prefer the sct for running on big grass areas like a field where there aren't any jumps.
@telecomandorc
@telecomandorc 3 года назад
@@LawrenceTimme Interesting that you mention open grass fields. That is why I put PL Trenchers on one of the Tekno SCT410.3. I enjoy the way it runs on open dirt or grass fields... especially with the flash chassis. I have a Traxxas Slayer Pro but it bogs on grass. This is why I am thinking on a Tekno nitro at some point.

This video was super helpful because I have a SCT410.3 and was going to try to make a 2.8 basher out of it. It seems like the MT410 is really the way to go. What do you think of the ET48 vs MT410 in terms of durability?
@telecomandorc
@telecomandorc Год назад
I am not sure about the ET48 2.0. But the ET48.3 durable as it gets. The ET and MT are the same thing except for the tubs. MT is shorter. If you want to do stunts, MT for sure, if you want something fast, ET. Why?... well, my MT410 wants to wheelie half the time on 2s with a Tekin RX8 and T8i motor... 4s 🤣good luck keeping the tires on the ground. In general, Tekno is one of the toughest off road brand.

I agree it's much cheaper to sell an sct then covert it. Especially with tekno parts being so expensive
@telecomandorc
@telecomandorc 3 года назад
I started to calculate the cost, but stopped. It is probably double the difference. I agree. The parts are expensive. They are work it if one has the kit, but to convert... not so much.

The mt410 also has aluminium hinge pin holders out the box
@telecomandorc

I also like all of the set screws to secure all of the pins. I cannot remember if my EB48 had them. I was defiantly impressed.

The make the mt410 nitro you need to get an nb48.3 or nb48.4 chassis and middle parts 👍
@telecomandorc
@telecomandorc 3 года назад
Just like you said in a comment above, it is expensive. I jump on a parts search, and became quickly discouraged. I am not sure when the new NB is coming out, but I may just look for a used one for parts and sell my Slayer Pro.
@LawrenceTimme

@@telecomandorc yes a used one is the way to go for sure. You can sell the front and rear end of the buggy as well then.

What electronics are you running? I have only installed Hobbywing, Castle Creations, Tekin, and now a Surpass system. I do have my preference out of these, but what are your thoughts?
@LawrenceTimme
@LawrenceTimme 3 года назад
@@telecomandorc in my mt410 I run a surpass rocket 4082 1550kv motor Ztw beast pro 220a esc. The motor is fine, the ESC is built well but I feel like the programming sucks really badly. I much prefer the hobbywing max6 I have in in another truggy. Never used a castle system. So can't really comment on them. I have a sidewinder 2 or 3 from a Savage xs, but I've never used it. In my sct 410.3 I have an LRP Dynamic 10L 4700kv paired with a tekin rx8 gen 3. Smooth as butter, great system. although I do have the 3700kv version of the motor as well, which I would love to try on 3s. How do you find the surpass ESC? I have the 80A version I got for a comparison but I've not tested it yet. I've seen quite a few of the 120 and 150a version go up in smoke on 6s, but they seem OK on 4s.
@telecomandorc
@telecomandorc 3 года назад
@@LawrenceTimme I have the LRP Dynamic 10L 3700kv. It use to be in one of my Teknos. But I put it in my Slash 2wd after getting the Tekin in the Tekno. I really like the LRP. I which they still made the 4700kv here for my drag car. Australia shops seem to have them, but will not reply to my inquiries. The Surpass is a friend's. It is the 150A, but we are waiting the the program card. It is really too soon to say. My experience is mostly with Tekin, Hobbywing, and Castle as far as non factory brands for off road. LRP... just the one motor which I love. I think my LRP Dynamic is better than any Castle or HW options. The bearings are still holding up after who knows now how many packs. But back to the Surpass... too soon. The price looks good, but seems to good of a price to be such a good product. But I will have a follow up after we put a few packs through it.

@@telecomandorc nice. Yeah the rare stuff always seems to be in japan or Australia! I have yet to try a tekin motor. Maybe I will get one next, they are quite expensive though. I am interested to hear how the surpass holds up.
@telecomandorc
@telecomandorc 3 года назад
@@LawrenceTimme It does seem to be that way. They get a lot of the good stuff. Now, Tekin is expensive but it has handled the abuse far better than the Castle. I use to have a CC Mamba Monster X with 2200Kv. I blew the esc capacitors due to ripple voltage highs. Castle replaced in a, I would say, smooth transaction. But the Tekin... same batteries, same truck, with a 23T instead of the 22T I was running, and after being dumped in a river... still shreds. Maybe I got lucky with my Tekin and not so much with my Castle. Then again, my old sidewinder flied after a little water splashed on it after a few passes on a race on a clay track that has a damp area. The Surpass will take me a bit. My friend and I are planning a long bash session to test it. And testing the Surpass system is very important to me as budget options that are quality options are paramount to getting people in the hobby and staying in the hobby. So I hope I can get you some information later summer. I just do not want to run a pack and make claims.

And that is why I like about it. The dampers have far more travel. I am sure it is thanks to the extra length on the arms.
