The fact that this band still gives their all after playing the same material for so many years is commendable. Still dying for a new, full-length tho!
@@bretcollinstdm yeah I gathered that, but even then I've played outside festivals with wedges and it can be a pain sometimes. All I know is he's killing it as always.
all ya REALLY need is the guitar and maybe some vox. especially for FYS where those are the only 2 that drive the music, cuz even tho the bass kills it, the style is already so rhythmic. they set the amps RIGHT NEXT to the drum set, so that's no prob, and then the VOX is the only thing needed in the wedge. both Dan and Allin are such forceful singers that you can get a lot with little volume....in the end, even tho it's a little surprising...it really makes sense. he doesn't need to hear the full mix. just rhythmic cues. AND...if you practice enough and get the chops up, and know the set by heart, you barely even need that! it's punk rock n roll. back to basics. none of that bullshit digital tracks and MIDI shit.
Yeah they don’t play to a click either. Nowadays every band plays to a click but four year strong just works going with the flow. Love their energy and sometimes super sped up parts and sometimes super slowed down parts they do live is so sick
