Ive been playing it solid since around 2012 i stopped around 2018-17 i think I remember when it got super popular just out of no where and id been playing it for a while then it was good to see so many people online. Only problem was online then became full of people who would leave when you was actually good at the game so many games of 1 up or skate that would end because someone didnt wanna deal with loosing. Its sad in 14 years no skating game has even came close to being as popular.

If you didn't skate around 1990- 1991, then you have no idea how awesome it was. It was still new to alot of people. The only skateboard game was "Skate or Die" on Nintendo. Thrasher magazine was the sh!t. Vans and Air Walk were top of the line skate shoes. If we could only imagine how far gaming would come.

Skateboarding as a whole has had a massive revival

Skate 3 was my first skateboarding game, it was awesome to do stuff. I played Tony Hawk 1+2 remake last year and Skate 3 had more natural controls imo. I have still to play 2 and "4" once it releases.

zexyzek has prolly single-handedly revived skate 3 although it never really died. also i think since skate 4 rollout is coming soon that could also be a reason it's blowing up again

i’ve been apart of the skate 3 community for like a decade, sure interest comes and goes but the hardcore ppl have always been super active, it’s just coming back into the mainstream with the announcement of the new game

THPS3 for the ps1 & 2 is by far the best. Along with a killer soundtrack

It really wasn't a bad game back then, it was just the last game in a string of skateboarding games that all felt the same. We needed to chill and not do something about skateboarding for a decade or two until we could learn to appreciate it properly.

Skate 3 will forever be an example that a game full of glitches can still be good and fun to play. There’s a difference between a game being full of glitches and a game full of game breaking glitches, Skate 3 is an example of just being full of glitches. Majority of the time they won’t break the game to the point of being unplayable in fact almost every mechanic within the game works as intended. The early days of Fallout 76 is an example of being full of glitches it’s literally unplayable. AngryJoe and Internet Historian goes into detail about the countless problems that game had and some of those issues have yet to be fixed. EA should definitely look into making Skate 4, it would literally be perfect for them since they have a problem with releasing a stable game. You wouldn’t have to worry about minor glitches, it would be more disappointing if there weren’t funny glitches to play with, just fix the major glitches and bugs that could break the game. At this point I’m not saying this to insult EA, I’m just saying what’s true and they could use that to their advantage this time around.
