Today we are roller skating inside the rolling oaks mall in San Antonio Texas! Thi was a very cool mall to rollerblade inside of since it was huge and mostly empty. Will security find us and kick us out or will we be able to escapse without getting caught?

I tried skating for the first time a few weeks ago. Now im just stretching a bunch so I can turn to look backwards. Always so jealous how effortless you do it. Love the videos.

This mall may not look much outside but the architecture inside is quite attractive and modern. Maybe that's why it's still alive.

I live just down the highway from this mall. Very odd seeing it on video cuz hardly anyone seems to go here anymore. It used to be a great place for shopping and very lively back in the day.

Nice one. I was raised in San Antonio and Rolling Oaks is an anomaly. It’s always been dead since the day it opened in the late 1980s. It was built thinking the city was expanding in that direction and the city ended up growing in a different direction for many years. Meaning the mall never got the business it anticipated. It’s just been really in the last 10 or so years that the city really grew in population out there and by then Amazon had already taken over. It’s sad because it’s a really cool looking mall. But it could never be what North Star Mall and Ingram Park Mall were to San Antonio.

Awesome, these are so calming. I'm actually super glad you didn't get kicked out. Sad it probably won't be around in a few more years, I know we have two malls in my city, one is quite busy and the other is declining but still hanging on.
