Hi everyone, i hope you all enjoy this video. I know its a bit long, but take it from me i have had to do a lot of cutting in the final edit to get it to this. It has been a labour of love over the past month and a half, so i hope i have done it justice. It is probably the longest video i will ever create, so please try and watch to the end. Many thanks

It is so sad, I was in the first year at Skelmersdale Secondary Modern School, we where the first class at Glenburn, everything was brand new, 1965/66, I enjoyed my time there, was in the well know award winning Choir, left in 1970, great memories.

Hi Paul, yes it was a very sad ending. Thankfully I managed to capture it before it was completely demolished. It's been great for a lot of people like yourself to see. It's quite sad getting old, when you see construction of the school and also the demolition. I never thought that I would outlast some of the buildings of "Skelmersdale New Town".

Aww it certainly is Chris, I enjoyed creating the video which took almost 2 months to shoot. I was hard for me to believe that I attended there from 1980 to 1985. Hope you enjoyed the video. Del 👍

Thanks, sad goodbye to Glenburn gave me a tear that. I attended 1967 to 1971 I was one of the last Easter leaves, have a good few memories, laffs and giggles of Point 6 too.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, it did the same to me. Having shot the video for almost 2 months and then put it altogether. I left in 1985, didn't have the best of times but some good memories. Just a shame its now all gone, just so glad I managed to capture it before it went. 👍

Oh the loves of some of them memories that we don't talk about I can just close my eye's and there there, so I'm just glad you had the idea to make this and now the history lives on many thanks again.

Aww thank you, and your very welcome. That was my aim with all the videos I create. To preserve the past history around us, so future generations can get to see what was there.

Thanks for all your hard work. Surprising how much can be achieved in the lead up to an election!!! Such a pity that we can all guess what comes next, houses, houses and more houses. When you look at how many they have put on much smaller plots of land, just think how many they could get on that site!!! Oh how much I would like them to prove me wrong, BUT...........

Even though I didn't go to school here, I feel the sadness. All the memories that must have been made there. Both my own primary and secondary schools have gone... Very sad.

It is indeed, it certainly stirred up a lot of memories for people when I put this video up. I left there in 1985, it was very emotional videoing it for a month and a half during demolition, and then watching it back. I'm glad you liked the video. Del👍

Great video once again bro, sad to see it go, it's almost inevitable what the site will be used for - more housing, we need other essential buildings first, as mentioned in other posts.

drove past here the other day. was so sad to see empty land. i went to this school and left in 2016 after finishing y11 cant believe its gone now

Thank you, I shot this for about a month and a half. I was thinking of doing a time lapse, but just wanted to show a bit more in the video. I had to edit it down quite a bit though. Still only learning with the video editing, I have a long way to go. 👍
