They do track where your going. I went into the program and it showed me the rout I drove. I foregot about it a few months later near Christmas and my wife came smiling at me...asked, so what did you buy me at jewelry store!! That little tracking device ruined a big gift surprise that Christmas. I took the device back and had them switch me back to a regular rate.
Big brother checking in on us. For those of us who do drive safely we should get a discount because we do Drive well but no we have to prove it to the insurance companies who only want to raise our rates it seems they just need an excuse to raise our rates
Farmers uses an app that tracks everywhere you go, how hard you brake, how fast you take off and how fast you go. I uninstalled that crap after 2 weeks.
Snapshot chirped if I braked because someone in front of me was turning. Or if I hit a pothole. Pausing to turn into a parking lot. Or if someone suddenly stopped in front of me making me have to stop suddenly. So after 6 months I went from paying $118 to paying $171.
I am using the smart ride device from Nationwide Insurance. recently I had to check engine light came on so I unplugged it so I can read the codes after reading the codes I try to start my vehicle to bring it into the garage and it will not run without smartride being plugged in. Then come find out if you're driving down the highway and your knee or leg bumps the smart ride device why it is installed it makes your car stall. I just switched over from State Farm to Nationwide over a few dollars savings and I am livid but I have to put up with this bullshit. I have to go Fork out $100 to the Honda dealership in order to get a diagnostic to find out if smart ride is the cause. My car worked perfectly fine before installing these things. Sorry for the rant if anybody else is having this problem please write back
Those devices would definitely not invented for customers to save money but for the insurance company to keep an eye on you. You think a good driving record would be okay but apparently they want to know everything about you. Well what about the people that work there? How are their driving habits? Would the creators of this driving supplements or whatever they want to call them with Babe subject themselves to the same scrutiny? I don't think they would
It told me how long my trips were, and what time I drive. So I know they know where I go using by using my phone. I told after six month I'm doing it anymore. So now they ask me to report the mileage on my car every six month.
Free data-gathering tool for the insurance company, compliments of YOU! No insurance company is your friend - find another tool to gather data so it belongs to YOU, not them.
I'm sure it tracks where your driving at all times and the location of where your at, not sure if I like this. It's a good way to track people down and terrorize them. These days anyone can find out where you live . This is scary ! I don't think a device that knows everywhere you go is a good thing. Folks this isn't a good idea to have this device. This is a true fact. Think about what I said it makes sense.
“I think it’s a great idea for people with teenage drivers” BAHAHAHAHAHA I’ve never heard anything more ridiculous. They want to sell you this lie because they know putting it on a teen’s car will give them reason to skyrocket your rates. Most teens don’t care about discounted insurance, give me a break.
I have DriveWise in my cars and I freaking hate it they are GPS tracking you that's how they know your speed and they know where you park your car and if you break hard to avoid an accident you get penalized for it this is a joke I told my AllState agent next time instead of slamming the brakes on to void an accident I'm going to hit the damn car and they can pay for the damage instead of me getting penalized for it
I drive safe all the time, so I have no problem having my insurance company reducing my rates because of it. And the people screaming about invasion of privacy, every time you go shopping look around, cameras are monitoring your every move. Duh.
