It would be hilarious if this technology reached a point where it was better than groomed snow, and they end up having to clear the slopes of snow in winter for people to buy tickets.....it would be like a twilight zone episode
Nothing will be better than groomed snow. Second alot of people like skiing because of the freedom on a mountain, the surroundings and atmosphere you don't get with synthetic shit. And thirdly, it would be way smarter to put this on a mountain where it doesn't snow so it eliminates that issue, if it were to be better than groomed snow, which it will never be.
Powder is softly packed snow after a solid snowfall. Nothing like skiing waist deep powder and getting covered in snow every turn you make. You should come visit Colorado or Utah for skiing. You'd probably enjoy it!
RideFreestyleOhio its one of those things you would definitely not want to use a good snowboard on. use something you would use out in urban snowboarding.
We have this in Wales. However, it has been disused for sometime. Everything was rusted. It's in the middle of nowhere and I stumbled onto it while hiking in the mountain. We thought we have discovered a secret base. However, the slope is so step I wonder how they ever stop at the bottom.
Em Garibaldi, tivemos por 30 anos uma estação de esqui artificial (1970 /2000)! Com um porém, todas as peças , esquis, botas e teleférico, foram produzidos no Brasil , pelo idealizador David Afonso Santini! In Garibaldi, we had for 30 years an artificial ski station (1970/2000)! With one however, all the pieces, skis, boots and cable car, were produced in Brazil, by the idealizer David Afonso Santini!
if you face-plant @ 50+ mph, does it offer the same cushioning as snow? or the numbing of its cold , for real if i fail at high speed what kind of cushioning can i expect?
I learned freestyle snowboarding on a slope like this, looks a bit silly but it really does work well, it's actually harder than doing it in the snow so it's a great way to learn quickly, your technique needs to be much better than it needs to be in real snow. (You also learn quick because falling hurt like hell ;p)
Kalebbistis wow that makes no sense man that's just sad I mean sucking as nothing to do with heating up your board or the firmness of the ground you sir have failed horribly and have been chosen to die to thin out the herd... Good luck in the after life kiddo I'm sure you'll do great... 😒
I’d rather have real snow just because the coldness and environment is one of my favorite parts of skiing and this doesn’t have the same feeling at all. But, for year around this would be okay I guess.
Lol, we've had this in England for decades. It's a real shame they've closed most of them though and replaced them with stupidly expensive indoor snow slopes.
Nick N if it's white it will look dirty. Obviously the green shit will get dirty but it wont be as much of an eye sore. The same way your shit smears show on white underwear but not on darker colored underwear.
Nick N lmao, so you would just want a white plastic hill that looks like it’s covered in shit in your hometown? That’s what he’s talking about. No shit it will get dirty, just like the green material will get dirty. But dirt and stains show up a lot easier on white than other colors.
