After perusing many how to Pulk videos, I have to say I like your video the best. Your instructions and video were concise and easy to follow. Thanks for posting it.
I wish I had seen this 5 years ago. I just made my 3rd sled in 5 years. Very similar setup this time, but your brackets looks so much better than mine. If I ever make another one, I now know what I'm going to do ! Thanks
It takes a real man to pull off that pink hat your wearing at the end.....Nice pulk, and great assembly instructions! I am planning to try something similar with an Emsco expedition sled soon as the Paris sleds seem to not be available any longer.
I have this pulk from 4 years and some expirience. The PVC lunge isn't good idea. PVC breaks in the cold and is to flexible. I recommend using aluminum tubes. But the rest OK.
Hi Jason - it's been a while since you build your pulk! It seems to be a very good solution, you are presenting, but then again - it's often hard to predict how nature works on stuff. Have you been using it and would you recommend any changes! Are the pvc tubes strong enough?
What length poles? Outer pole? Inner?? Tx much. I used buckled 1" strap webbing on mine instead of perlon. Easier on hands, flat. Nice job. Will send pics
Very nice setup you have there. Is that the "Pex" that comes in coils for water lines? I bought a sled today and plan on malking a pulk. I like the ease of setup in yours and it will not cost a fortune to make. Take care, Bluefin
Hey jason, dont know if you still have access to this channel. was curious about getting the wanderingwilson channel id since you havent uploaded in 11 years
Three things: (1) Did you attach runners to the bottom of the sled? (2) The relatively rigid connections between poles and sled look vulnerable, especially in cold weather, to the poles breaking - have you had any issue with that? (3) I added a way to attach an old ski skin to the bottom of the sled I made, thinking that uphills might be easier, but haven't tried it out yet - does anyone have experience with that? Thanks.
