Its great and useful sure. But this insane damage and pommel strike are 2 skills i personally hate. It just take away the realism out of the combat. Rolling over everywhere and damaging more than big sword swings. looks so silly. 😔
Dreadwolf's combat will surelly be more action than tactical, wich is why i'm expecting a dedicate roll/dodge button. If these are upgradeable skills then it better be far down the skill tres because comino through does get ridiculous after a while
Re: Hidden Blades from the Assassin Tree as a Detonator I guess whomever at Bioware that was working on UI / art "didn't get the memo" and forgot to add the star icon to Hidden Blade's icon art, and or a box got checked / unchecked before the game launched and was never patched out. I also thought it was a bit of a bummer that Archer only got one detonator (Longshot) vs. DD's two (Twin Fangs and Deathblow), which meant you either have to spec Assassin or make a 2 - 3 point investment (past Easy to Miss in Subterfuge) to get Shadow Strike in melee or ranged (and ranged doesn't do the bonus damage melee does, despite costing an extra ability point). The same same is true for 2H warriors. I always though Lightning Jab should have been a detonator, because Mighty Blow and Whirlwind have a bit too much lag / windup. For mages, Energy Barrage is an absolute no-brainer, and Stonefist is absolutely OP for Rift Mages.
Also with dispell, you can actually dispell the area that are indicated before demons are drawn through the rifts, and they won't appear at all. If you have 3 or 4 mages, sometimes you can skip entire rift battles with dispell
Also, a few mage spells let you cast barrage for free with no CD, are least on PS4. The requirements seem to be that the spell must hit an enemy and your character must be in an animation. Fortunately, the easiest spell to pull it off with is spirit blade. Combined with blade of Tiverton, you can get to full charge every time. Just alternate between the two, spirit blade, then barrage. No need for the passive from the fire tree. Also works with stone fist, but the timing seems to be more difficult to pull off.
Nice video Another hidden mechanic about deathblow is that the skill resets itself on kill even if you dont have the upgrade, which can save you 1 skill point. combining this with throwing is a boss melting combo though Simulacrum is the one is was completely unaware of.
man, sorry for asking almost everything.. But how do you sustain whirlwind so long? If i tried pushing the button it swirls 4 times, I repeatedly tried hitting the button it works sometimes but not all the time.. but eventually ends. tried equipping great bear armor enhancement but it still ends..
It ends when you run out of stamina. You can compensate for the stamina loss with a few things: Deep Reserves passive(+50% stamina regen below 50% stamina), Sigil of the Giant(+50% stamina regen), Amulet of Renewal, and "Abilities cost x% less stamina" masterworks. Couple a few of these and you can Whirlwind endlessly. :)
@@mattrichard3383 i tried that too. perhaps i am being iterrupted. Then strangely keeping my finger on button works sometimes while repeatedly pushing works sometimes. gonna try regen amulets.
Because I tested it many times. :) You can check it on the wiki as well. I recommend that you don't read too much into the description saying "bow attacks". It says that because that skill is meant to apply on bows. We still don't know why(was this intended or not), but every single passive works on the character who unlocks it(possible exceptions are Strafing Shots - because you can't shoot with a melee weapon, and Death From Above - since it is pretty much impossible to attack someone with melee while being 2 meters "above" them). In this case, the real effect is basically a +5% damage increase after each connected hit for ten seconds, after which this effect resets and you start building up the damage again for the next ten sec. Those hits can come from any type of weapon because the connected hits are all counted. There is no flag that checks whether you are using a bow or not. Unforgiving Chain is similar to this because the description also implies that it only works for daggers, but just like Pincushion, it works great with any weapon. It is the easiest way for an archer Varric to deal non-stop critical damage.
i dont understand, how people playing in this trash . 3 times i trying play in dai , but can't do it . after next challenge in dao i will try playing da2 on solo nightmare.
