Raw cut edges are pretty common for neoprene items. I surf and some of my suits have no seams at the leg and arm holes, they do not fray. However, at that price point they should DEFINITELY be cut cleaner. The way Skims have done this just exposes them for using cheap labour (and possibly materials) and marking them up HEAPS and they can get away with it because of their brand name/reputation. It sucks but if you're a little smart as a consumer it's relatively easy to avoid throwing your money at those companies.
I’m shocked that skims did a neoprene line! As someone who has worn a neoprene bikini I’m here to say that it’s UNNECESSARY!! And also UNCOMFORTABLE! I don’t understand the point of the crop as you wear neoprene in the water to keep you warm. The pants, shorts and farmer Jane suit I’m all fine with but the crop literally has no function.
Ok i wondered why some gals that review the same brands as you only have freaks in their comments sections, but you and a handful of others have none. Love that you block them and keep the space safe.
I think Kim said on Insta that she wanted to create swimwear with options for ppl for want to show/cover different parts of their body. So in their more traditional swimwear line they have biker shorts and long sleeves, etc. I really appreciate that!

I didn't notice this collection being launched but I wish I had sooner because the little shorts are totally my favorite style for swim bottoms and I haven't had much luck finding them recently.
the two pieve candy pink wetsuit material has notextra stitch because that stitch could fray and also rub. The raw material with the rough cut so to speak is fine as its less bothersome when compressed against the skin. SO yes in this case less is more andit looks awesome!!
As someone who wears and looks for wetsuit a lot, I find this quite funny😂 no shade to Kim tho, it’s just funny that they tried to bring more fashionable aspects into this. I wish my wetsuit had the shoulder zip tie and ankle that’s quite cool. 😂😂😂 luv u Kathryn ❤

That raw edge… oh my goodness. I’m fairly new to sewing but there’s no reason for that bikini bottom to be so rough and messy… ESPECIALLY considering the price!!
Not sure about the raw edge. If you use a rotary cutter on the pattern, it wouldn’t be cut that rough. I like the bike shorts. I am looking for bike shorts or longer for a river tubing trip since I know I will burn otherwise.
I know you said you didn’t like the zip top as much but I think it’s SO flattering on you and love it! It also looks like it would be comfortable and I like that the under boob area is longer then the other one!
How do you make everything look good? I liked all of the pieces on you but the purple was my fav. Triangl makes neoprene suits they were a hit about 10 years ago. Love the fabric but it is unforgiving

I am not for the rough cut, just because for the price, I feel it would expect a better edge. I dunno 😂 I think she should have put the seam on all the pieces.

I have one question. Who are the thong swim bottoms for. I dunno I find it weird that someone would full on wear a thong on a beach and not get reported for nudity. :/ The only thing I would find useful to wear under something. Plus I love the hot pink top
Love most skims however I bought good American bathing suits and liked them more. I wish they had light lining though because you can see nipples right through them. I returned the bathing suits from skims they were really thick and more for a professional diver or something I though the sport bathing suit would be a little thicker but it was awful.
Feels like an MVP product that still needs to do iterations...this shouldn't be on the market....just the unprofessional edges...they should have been laser cut or smtg...
I’m underwhelmed by this collection. Maybe it’s functional but they even look unflattering with someone who has a perfect body (Kathryn), I can only imagine how awful they would look on me.
I have worn skims neoprene bikini in the past and it was a total nightmare. I wouldn’t recommend this kind of material for actually swimming, it falls off, and slips, be careful. If you just want to take cute pics and get you feet in the water I would recommend, but zero diving, and swimming.
I find skims stuff so ugly :/ so many way more beautiful swim lines out there. Also wtf were those seams… literally looks like someone just hacked them with some scissors. If they’re gonna do raw seams (which does work if it’s fabric that doesn’t fray or roll), at least make them straight.
they are probably using slave labor so the people making it don't care because they are getting paid pennies and have ridiculous goals to meet for the demand of skims. we should not blame the garment workers but the people at the top making the decisions for how much they need produced in a set amount of time. i'll never support skims or the kardashians. they aren't good people
If people would stop promoting and talking about the kardashians that would be great. Nothing against you personally but this family has to become irrelevant
You should try Andie Swim! They have long torso options in the majority of their suits and actually provide bust support! I couldn't believe how long I had been settling for unsupportive suits 🥲 The Malibu is the only one I've tried so far!
