Skin tone rendering blind test (Sony A7siii, Canon 600D, Pocket 4k,Fuji X-T4)

Alright so this is not an easy test to do and I will do an other one using the Slog picture profile of each cameras cause it might give us a more fair fight.
Also I should have used a different profile for the Sony A7Siii.
My personal favorite one was the Fuji X-T4 ! I love how it renders my skin. Very accurate and flattering

I actually really liked the P4K the most out of all 5 and I have a XT4 so it’s a completely objective review haha. I liked your video and subscribed to your channel!

I had several preferences, CAM B and CAM C. but to be honest, I come from a post production background and to be honest I really find out of camera colors in both photo and video really satisfying. Each scene and color tone is a bit different. Hence we use post production to tweak it to look the best. So I find strange that other than other for live broadcast , we would skip post production. There is virtually no scene that could not be improved in post production. I think out of camera colors are something that people overestimate, same way post production is still underestimated. Just my 2 cents. Cheers!

You have a great point but a lot of people I would even say 90% of content posted on RU-vid or social media has not been color edited. Cause 1: people don't know how 2: Can't be bothered 3: Don't have the time That's why I have tried to keep those as straight out of cameras as possible. I will be making a similar video where I coor correct as much as I can to match my skintone. All I can say is that Fuji and Blackmagic are the most accurate when it comes to skintone

Hey ! What happened to the focus with the Canon 600D ? It looks blurry compared to the others ...

yeah I missed the focus when I did the setup. I did not want to use the autofocus cause I only had the 50mm f1.8 cause it ain't the best for focusing and i'm sure that I would have had some focus pumping and that would have given it away

I agree I think that the colors look natural. I juste can't really trust its autofocus that much unfortunately

@@DuncanDimanche-sreview I feel you. The newer generation lenses (18mm, 23mm and 33mm) have the new linear motors in them and the autofocus/eye tracking is great.

a7RIII has best skin tone and a7SIII has best flat natural look. D600 is behind the A7SIII in those terms. Fuji looks off, like really over saturated. P4k has a weird green tint to the skin tone.
