Love the idea of a skin care fridge! I'm in for sure. I don't know why we should feel guilty about it really - men have beer fridges after all and beer isn't even good for your skin :)
Coming from a guy, I hate beer fridges but love my bubblegum pink skincare fridge stacked full of my rose gold and pink skincare. My friends used to make fun of me for it but when they used a nice cold Tàchà (not sure how to spell it) water crème they shut the hell up. My friends all have skincare fridges and a crippling skincare addiction
I haven’t stopped by in YEARS (I’m so sorry lmao) and you look A M A Z I N G it gives me hope that I too can “fix” my hormonal cystic acne / the scars they leave 😭🙏🏻❤️ keep doin your thang~
As someone who formulates skincare, the formulator should be accounting for room temperature and average light in their preservatives and packaging. Unless a product explicitly states it needs to be kept in a cool dark place, you do not need to keep it in a place like this. A fridge does not replace proper preservatives, and although it may minimally increase shelf life, you should still throw products away once they've reached the expiration date. Cosmetic formulators, and yes skincare is a cosmetic, are required to do stability testing on the product in the packaging it will be sold in. If it says its good for a year, its good for a year the way it came.
@@johannesclaassen8607 Ikr, this is my issue precisely. My tretinoin is completely inactive within 6 months because temperatures are above 32°C all day, my bedroom has no insulation so it's like a sauna in there 😭
A friend of mine kept all of her make up, facial care products and lotions in her fridge many years ago, I always thought she was a bit bonkers but I realized the ey creams and facial lotions feel great when kept in fridge so I've been doing it for years. I am happy to know she wasn't bonkers 😁
This video perfectly sums up the importance and meaning of the phrase “Store in a cool , dry place , away from sunlight “ 🙂.... seems to be a worthy investment 👍🏻 😄....
I kept my Timeless Vitamin C + Ferulic Acid Serum in my regular fridge and it didn't oxidize for almost 10 months! It definitely extended the shelf life! I just bought a clear storage drawer and use that for skincare only 🤷🏻♀️ The mini fridge is really cute though
will you please do a "Do's and Dont's for refrigerated products" episode? I would love to know what types of products are better for refrigeration and which arent!
I love skincare fridges and and I loved your video on the ordinary you should not mix. I am also excited to see the video on the ordinary products you should mix, I am an aspiring esthestian and also a skincare and makeup junkie that’s into skincare /tools that actually works. 🍵
🍵🍵🍵🍵 This is the first video of yours I have ever watched, and I just have to say you are adorable and this was super informative!! I'm bingeing skincare fridge videos because I'm going to get one soon and yours has been one of the best!
I love my huge fridge! It may not be necessary, but products feel great on the skin and brings longer shelf life to your products. I keep it in the bathroom for easy access.
I’m about to get one. We placed an order for an ordinary miniature fridge, but that’s perfect for storing my products. I’m actually a lash technician as a side gig and some of the products that’s got to do with the lash extensions is better stored in a cool place. I might also do facials as well as facial massages 💆♀️ in the future, as a service, and then fresh facial oils etc is a given. I already have skincare and makeup products in my regular fridge so this is such a great solution for me 🙂
hello please please could you do more on body acne and products. I’ve found that diet has hugely helped with my skin, my face has improved dramatically alongside products but I still get really painful acne on my back( even after cleansing with black soup)- I’m not sure which products would be good or beneficial and theres so many body products. Thank you for everything you do!! Been suffering with my cystic acne and watching your videos for 5 years and it’s finally starting to clear up on my face
kasia Hey gorgeous thanks so much for requesting! Yes I can. I am thinking of filming a video on this soon - keep an eye out for it, and let me know if you have any specific questions?
Cassandra Bankson Thank you so so much for replying!:) Anything to do with your routine or maybe products that have worked for you would be so great! Also- this is completely different, but would it be possible that you ever did a video on your premature RA? It shocks me how similar your acne/vegan journey and your past toxic relationships are to me, but I’ve also had to drop out of university due to my RA and the fatigue it causes, and unfortunately it keeps getting worse. How are you dealing with yours ? And did you ever find out how to slow down the deformities? This is something that’s really ruining my hands on top of having body acne so anything on the topic would mean so much, as it isn’t talked about a lot on youtube. Thank you so much Cassandra
I thought that if it's cold it will close your pores though. I understand the eyes for puffiness and other chemicals like vitamin c. Just curious about absorption because of pores.
I would love to have a skincare fridge but I am not sure if i have the counter space for it as we live in a condo. My hubby would go crazy if i add another thing 😂😂
Dear Cassandra Bankson Thank you very much for this video ....i'm so glad about this information , now i know ,that my products are better in my frigo, (but i don"t buy a small frigo, i just use my normal frigidaire(frigo) of my house. And i would like to say ...i 'm from Canada, Québec, Trois-rivières City, so my english is not so good , but i hope you understand me ....normally i speak, and write in french language. ..... So Thank you , i really appreciate your video about this skincare frige ........ I hope you will see my commentary , because, we are 8 september 2022, and your video is on the 26 december 2019 ......So thank you for all ....and i will continue to watch your video ...😊
🍵What is special about a dedicated skincare fridge? Is it technologically or temperature wise different from regular fridge? We have a dedicated area in our regular fridge where we keep medication and other non edible items that need to be kept cold. Can I just put my skincare there?
Great vid, as usual Cassandra. 💕 I don't think I could justify a beauty fridge for myself, but I can see how it could be useful! Side note: I got the pilookie for myself for Christmas... I've been wanting it forever and used the discount code you provided to get $45 off! 🙌 I can't wait until it arrives! I'm a side sleeper and I always wake up with lines from smushing my face into my pillow😅
I'm confused!! I just watched a video from Susan Yara who said her pros and cosmetic chemists said that one of the few things we shouldn't refrigerate are vitamin Cs and UV filters. Or anything with oils. But you do. IDK who to listen to. :(
🍵☕️🍵☕️, hi, love your videos honestly you have helped me a lot, your very appreciated. I have a question about prissy little peptides... are copper peptides (specifically from the ordinary) okay in the fridge???
Hey there Cassandra, I’m a huge fan and I’m trying to clear my acne. My question is, since you don’t wash your face twice a day, in the morning you only wash with water and pat dry??? No moisturizer??? I really want to stop over washing my skin like you mentioned in a previous video. But I don’t understand what your morning routine is. Should I just wash with water pat dry no moisturizer and at night cleansing and moisturize??? Please I would love if you responded back♥️♥️♥️♥️
Excellent question! Wanted to let you know that I will be doing an updated skin care routine and explain this in detail! Stay tuned as I am hoping to do it in a few weeks or less!
Just subbed and word on the street is you'll be replacing the skincare fridge real soon. They are supposedly crap and don't last past a few months so that means you should be updating us right around now lol
Claire LeBlanc haha okay I have always wondered that as well! To be honest I’ve always used to this one as a green tea emoji, and the brown one is a coffee emoji, but now I’m truly wondering! What do you think it is? Is it some kind of soup? Or curry? I’m so confused but intrigued LOL
CanaAlyce hey gorgeous thanks for pointing it out! As mentioned in the video, I have had this bottle outside of the fridge for over a year already. It was starting to go bad, and it’s time to just let it go. The brown is an oxidation is something you can always look for when trying to find out if products have expired or not!
Lauren Elizabeth LOL, that’s actually a great question! I’m so happy you made it! I honestly use the green one for tea and the brown one for coffee, but I think you might be right, they might both be Tea!
